Back in the Game

August 31, 2010

We’re back in the house hunting game!!

This afternoon, Mal and I saw three more houses AND we’ve decided to make another offer on one of them! Ahh!!! The new house is BETTER than the one we lost, so we’re pretty excited– although I’m not getting my hopes up just in case it doesn’t work out. We still need to have our offer accepted and the house inspection go well.

Snack

Before Mal and I headed out to look at houses, I snacked on a piece of toasted Banana Walnut Hemp Manna Bread with Barney Butter smeared on top. Mmm!

Dinner

After house hunting, Mal and I headed straight home to make dinner. We were both famished, so we threw together a couple of tuna melts while we snacked on some chips. On the side, I had some sliced green bell pepper.

Mal and I ate dinner in front the TV while battling it out on Jeopardy. We both love trivia, so we’re very competitive! ;-)

For “dessert,” I enjoyed a mini Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar. I love these little guys!

We’re off to meet our realtor to make an offer. Wish us luck! :-D

Yum! Tuna melts are one of my favorite comfort foods.

Which Manna do you most prefer? I’ve only tried to carrot raisin, and I was wondering if you have any suggestions about which I should next purchase!

Woohoo! This sounds like out story – we made an offer on one that we thought we loved, but it fell through. The second one tho – it is perfect!

A new look for the page?! I like it! I’ve been a little out of the loop with my move, so I’m probably really late on commenting on the new look, but I like it :)

That yellow house is so cute! I hope the next house you find is more wonderful than the last one.

Oh I love watching game shows while eating dinner — and I am super competitive too, but Wheel of Fortune is more up my alley than Jeopardy (too hard!).

Good Luck! I’m obsessed with watching the House Hunters shows on HGTV though it makes me nervous for when we take the plunge and do it.

House hunting can be so stressful – my husband and I didn’t get the first house we put an offer on either – we were heartbroken but put in an offer on another house just down the street from that one. The 2nd offer was accept and the house is SOOOOO much better.

We couldn’t be happier, things like this usually work out for the better!

Hope this one works out!!

My family and I would always watch Wheel of Fortune during dinner. I’d like to think I always won, but I am sure my parents let me win once in a while :)

Anyway, I popped over to comment and say congrats – your blog is huge! I was reading through design*sponge, clicked on a random persons reply to check out a new blog, and lo and behold, the most recent post of hers is about your orlando culinary adventures. So, congrats! It wasn’t even six degrees of separation (The blog was Being Mrs. Ford)
