Back in the Game

August 31, 2010

We’re back in the house hunting game!!

This afternoon, Mal and I saw three more houses AND we’ve decided to make another offer on one of them! Ahh!!! The new house is BETTER than the one we lost, so we’re pretty excited– although I’m not getting my hopes up just in case it doesn’t work out. We still need to have our offer accepted and the house inspection go well.

Snack

Before Mal and I headed out to look at houses, I snacked on a piece of toasted Banana Walnut Hemp Manna Bread with Barney Butter smeared on top. Mmm!

Dinner

After house hunting, Mal and I headed straight home to make dinner. We were both famished, so we threw together a couple of tuna melts while we snacked on some chips. On the side, I had some sliced green bell pepper.

Mal and I ate dinner in front the TV while battling it out on Jeopardy. We both love trivia, so we’re very competitive! ;-)

For “dessert,” I enjoyed a mini Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar. I love these little guys!

We’re off to meet our realtor to make an offer. Wish us luck! :-D

Good luck on the offer! It’s such a cute house.

A tuna melt sounds absolutely perfect. I was actually planning on making one this afternoon, but I guess I forgot.

I know this is totally off topic, but i was talking to a friend about pugs and I was like OMG look at this girls gorgeous dog and proceeded to show her your blog. I totally think you need to do a murphy gallery on his page of all the pics from when he was a pup to now! Just a random thought :P

what an exciting time in your life!!! Hopefully you’ll write a post on how to buy a house once you are done so we can learn from your experience. :)

Good luck! Don’t take this the wrong way – but if I were you I would avoid putting pics of the outside of potential houses on the blog – you never know what kind of crazies are out there!

@Liz @ lizrunsdc: That’s not the house we put an offer on! ;)

Our offer got accepted on our dream house, or so we thought, and then when the appraisal came back it was not at all in line with the selling price and the seller was unwilling to go down in the price. We were super bummed. Then we found a house that was EVEN BETTER and everything went through perfectly. It was a blessing in disguise. :)

Glad the house-hunt is going well – your breakfast wrap looked delish! I really liked what you had to say in your Health.com article – you have some really great tips! :-)
Good luck with the marathon training! :-)
