Fun Summer Stuff

July 5, 2010

What a great afternoon! 8-) I enjoyed a whole bunch of fun summer stuff. It felt like such a treat playing outside on a Monday afternoon when I should have been inside getting ahead on my work. Oh, well. You only live once, right? ;-)

Murphy had an absolute blast on his walk this afternoon. Let’s just say that he definitely enjoyed his own fun summer stuff! :-D

Pug + high temps = sprinkler fun!!!

In the video, you can hear Mal and me cracking up in the background. Murphy looked ridiculous rolling around and trying to cool himself off! So funny!

Dinner

For dinner, Dave and Marie invited us over to their house to eat some of the “grillables” leftover from yesterday’s Independence Day Beer Pentathlon. Of course, Mal and I enthusiastically accepted their invitation! Another night of grilling with friends?!? Sign me up! I love fun summer stuff! 8-)

When we arrived, Marie had prepared a plate of red grapes, Gouda cheese, and crackers. I munched on a little bit of everything.

A little while later, the guys fired-up the grill! I went with a Coleman Organic Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage on a bun and big serving of salad on the side.

IMG_0003.JPG

I topped my sausage with spicy mustard and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce.

IMG_0006.JPG

I also used a little bit of Sweet Baby Ray’s for dipping my salad into. That stuff is GOOD!

IMG_0004.JPG

For dessert, I enjoyed a small portion of cold Arborio Rice Pudding that Marie made the other day. It was to die for!! I’m actually making a batch tonight for tomorrow’s breakfast, so I will share the recipe then.

It’s Sunday Movie Night! Good night, blog friends!

I’m excited for the rice pudding recipe. We did however find a great low-fat pudding a few weeks ago, loving it.

That sausage sounds delicious, seriously. I need to find some quality chicken sausages over here.

As a Chicagoan, I love Sweet Baby Ray’s… but I HATE that they use High Fructose Corn Syrup! I wish they’d stop – I would consume it much more regularly if they did!
