Dog Tired

July 4, 2010

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Murphy had so much fun yesterday, he’s dog tired this morning. (My husband is pretty exhausted, too.) I, however, am an early riser, so I popped out of bed before 7:00 today. Plus, it’s the 4th of July! Wake up, boys!!

As soon as I got up, I chugged some water, threw on my running gear, and headed out for a 5-mile run. I ran a new route this morning, which was very hilly. My legs felt like a million pounds, but I still managed to cover 5.15 miles in 46:10 (8:57 pace). I ended up walking once– the hills were killer!! 8-O

When I got home, Murphy and Mal were still snoozing away. Dog tired, I tell ya.

Now, I’m eating toasted Manna Bread with Barney Butter. I’m also planning to have a banana and, of course, a glass of iced coffee with soy milk. I swear, a big iced coffee after a long run tastes a-mazing! :-D

Later this morning, I’m heading out to my in-law’s house with a bunch of friends to celebrate the 4th. I hope Murphy (and Mal) can muster up the energy for another fun-filled day!

See ya! 8-)

Happy 4th! I can’t believe how much the temp has jumped today. I don’t know how I’m going to run in this heat

Boys can just be so lazy! My boy is still in bed too ;-)

Also, I’m loving the red shoes. So unintentionally patriotic. Go America :-)

Well aren’t you an early bird? I could never wake up before 7am in the summer -__- but I love your breakfast! That Manna bread looks sooo good :D

Happy 4th! :)

Great job on the run. You’re hip must be feeling better. I would love to get one of those Garmin Forerunners, but I can’t decide if it’s worth the money. Would be nice to see how far and how fast I can run. Have a great fourth!

Happy 4th of July girl! I ran a 6 mile race for the 4th yesterday. I’ve heard it’s *the* weekend for races in the USA! How funny is that?

I love the pictures of Murphy – he’s so sweet!

Great minds think alike! I did an early little over 5 mile run this morning too. But my course was super flat since I’m at the coast. I hope you have a wonderful 4th and that eventually M & M get out of the bed. :)

No working out for me today, working at the church until the festivities this afternoon. Have a good day!

I agree, a big iced coffee after a run is amazing! In truth, a big iced coffee after, well, anything, is pretty amazing. Amazing-ness is its very essence :)

Happy 4th of July!

Iced coffee is amazing after a run – or any workout! I love it with turbinado sugar for the crunch!

My puppy is also exhausted, but that’s from staying up all night being panicked from the people who set off their fireworks early.

Ugh….I do not like running hills…but it sure does make flat ground that much easier huh? Good for you!

I’m making today a lazy day on purpose – I didn’t get in until extremely late last night, plus it’s rainy and I’m cold…three prime excuses to curl up in bed with blogs and SATC dvd’s if you ask me!

I’m up early. Means I should take a walk, eh? I did try OOIAJ for the first time this morning. (In a bowl, minus the nuts and chia seeds). Wondering why I waited so long.

I used to think pugs were ugly, until Murphy…

I tried to run the other day, but the weather here is just so bizarre and there are so many tourists, I find myself doing the dangerous wiggle dance of doom down the streets of Cambridge. Guess I’ll stick to swimming.

Can I just say that your organization post from the other day totally has me feeling like re doing every closet in my house. I didn’t exactly have time for that but I did free up two shelves for me and my bf’s bike helmuts so they weren’t laying on my desk all the time. Baby steps

Happy 4th of July!
