Marie’s Bachelorette Party

May 16, 2010

The bachelorette had a great time tonight!!!

Marie’s bridesmaids reserved a fancy “Executive Suite” at a hotel downtown for everyone to gather together before going out.

Of course, it was decorated appropriately for a bachelorette party! ;-)

The room was also well-stocked with “adult beverages.”

At the pre-party, I enjoyed a delicious homemade coconut-apricot bar.

And a Bud Light.

Then, it was time to get the bachelorette all decked out for the night.

IMG_0017.JPG IMG_0025.JPG

Marie looked hot with her sparkly tiara, hot pink feather boa, lacy garter belt, glittery scepter, and long, white veil. She really rocked the bachelorette gear! ;-)

Once Marie was ready for her night out, we headed to the Atlantic Beer Garden for drinks and appetizers.

IMG_0062.JPG

Cheers to the bride-to-be!!!

IMG_0063.JPG

I drank a bottle of Allagash White.

IMG_0059.JPG

Marie partook in some shots! ;-)

IMG_0050.JPG

We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share among the table, including nachos, chicken fingers, buffalo chicken dip, spinach artichoke dip, and fried mac & cheese balls.

IMG_0067.JPG

I ate a little bit of everything… and a lot of the buffalo chicken dip. ;-)

I love bachelorette parties!

IMG_0073.JPG

Before we left the Atlantic Beer Garden, we bought Marie another shot.

She took it like a champ! ;-)

The bachelorette party continued late into the evening, but I headed home like the grandma that I am. Even still, I can’t wait to hear stories from Marie about her big night out on the town! She was having an absolute blast when I left her!

Grandma is heading straight to bed. G’night!

I feel like a grandma too. I just can’t party like I used to. I think it is because I know what I will feel like in the morning if I do.

Looks like you guys had a good time! Totally random question but is the girl sitting next to you in the group shot named Martina? I’m pretty sure it’s my friends cousin! So weird!

I totally hear you on being a grandma, I had a bachelorette last night too and when I went to bed at 3:20 am I was like…I don’t think I’ve seen this time in YEARS haha (actually that’s a lie, I’ve saw it at a bachelorette last June in NYC- I swear I’m never going out in that town again- I like early closing bars haha)

Looks like a very fun evening. Those bars look scrumptious. I make a similar recipe, but without the coconut – I’ll have to give it a whirl!

you know what – i don’t think i’ve ever been to a “traditional” bachelorette party before – mine have always been very low-key sleepovers or quiet spiritual retreats or something – this looks like fun.
