Last night, I enjoyed a special blogger dinner hosted by Mary Kate from Kitchenbelle.com and Eggland’s Best. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with fellow Boston-area bloggers and taste delicious (and nutritious) food made with Eggland’s Best eggs.

The event was held at Stella in the heart of the South End.

Everyone received a gift bag full of goodies from Kitchenbelle and Eggland’s Best. There was tons of good stuff inside! I’m most excited about the Kitchen Sink Cookie, which I am saving for Cookie Friday!

Quite the group of bloggers was invited to the event. I heard there were 32 of us!

Before dinner, we enjoyed appetizers.

And cocktails! I had a mimosa.

There were all sorts of goodies on the tables for us, including Better than Brownie Cookie Peanut Butter Sandwiches from Kitchenbelle!

Our table!

Before dinner, the folks from Eggland’s Best welcomed us and briefly talked about what gives EB eggs their great taste and better nutrition. If you want to learn more about EB eggs, here’s some great info about the brand and their eggs:

Then, it was time to dig in! The theme of the evening was Breakfast for Dinner.

Dinner was a 3-course meal with lots of egg-inspired dishes.

ANTIPASTI
Fresh Fruit Salad & Stella Chop Salad with chicken, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, bacon, and red onion

ENTREE
Linguini “Carbonara” with poached egg, smoke bacon, and Parmesan & Duck Omelet with duck confit, crumbled goat cheese, mushrooms, and baby spinach
Duck sort of bugs me out, so I ate around it in the omelet. The Linguini “Carbonara” was delicious (and duck-free), so I chowed it right down!

French Toast with warm Vermont maple syrup
LOVED THIS!

DESSERT
Chocolate Torte with vanilla gelato and chocolate sauce
Chocolate Torte is always a yummy dessert, but I was pretty full, so I only ate about half of it.

Before I left the event, I made sure to snap a photo with my email buddy, Lainie, from EB. It was great to finally meet her in person!

Great event! Thanks, Mary Kate and Eggland’s Best!

I love Egglands Best eggs. Thanks for sharing this event with us! Those little “stuffed” Egglands Best eggs on the table are adorable, do you know if they sell them?
Wow, that French toast looks divine. What a fun event!
I like Eggland’s Best because we have the same initials, and seeing the stamp on the eggs makes me smile. Simple things.
Great company; appreciate their organic line. Fun event, but holy cholesterol!
you don’t like duck?!! omg, it’s one of my favorite things in the world. it’s so flavorful, i love it. it is nothing like chicken or turkey, so don’t compare it but do give it a try some time at a restaurant that knows what it’s doing. definitely worth it.
Great seeing you at the EB dinner! What fun! EB eggs are a favorite in my house!
