Still Going

April 13, 2010

I feel like the Energizer Bunny today! 8-O Even after the crazy-busy few days that I have recently lived, I’m still going! (Although, I’m finally starting to crash a little.)

Tonight, I was invited to a cocktail reception hosted by RIPE, the all natural cocktail mixers that I have blogged about a few times in the past. The event was held at Post 390 in Back Bay.

At the event, a number of classic cocktails made with RIPE mixers were featured: Bloody Mary, Whiskey Sour, Margarita, Tom Collins, and Hard Lemonade.

I considered trying something new, but I stuck to a RIPE cocktail that I knew I really enjoyed: Bloody Mary! :-D

Holy celery!

While sipping cocktails, I enjoyed a number of passed appetizers, including Mini Sloppy Joes, Goat Cheese and Kalamata Olive Flatbread, Vegetable Potstickers, and Grilled Mac & Cheese Balls. All were delish!

I spent most of the evening chatting with my friend, Marie, who was my +1 for the evening, as well as my old college friend, Julia, who I randomly ran into at the event. It was nice catching up with these ladies over cocktails.

Up next: face-plant into bed. I am exhausted!

You need a day or two off, or at least a day where you just go to work and come home. Whew!

The amount of celery in that Bloody Mary is ridonkulous! Glad you’re sucking in all the action there, it looks like a blast. Also, those appetizers look phenomenally good. Grilled cheese balls? Yes, please!
