If A Pug Can Be Green

April 22, 2010

Happy Earth Day, friends!

If a pug can be green, how hard can it be? ;-)

Breakfast

I went to Body Pump with Marie this morning, so when I got home, I was star-ving! I didn’t eat a snack before exercising, so my stomach was growling like crazy. I threw together a quickie breakfast of whole wheat toast with banana and lots of peanut butter.

I went a little crazy with the peanut butter this morning. I was so hungry!

I also drank an iced coffee + chocolate whey protein + vanilla soy milk drink with breakfast. My stomach is happy now!

Bite Giveaway

In honor of Earth Day, I have teamed up with Bite, a local company that makes stylish reusable produce bags. The Bite folks have offered to giveaway a 3-pack of their reusable produce bags, which are SO COOL!

I rarely use plastic produce bags at the grocery store, but when I do, I always feel bad, so I’m psyched to have these in my life now. Plus, they’re so adorable– why wouldn’t I use them all the time!? ;-)

I already threw my Bite bags into one of my reusable grocery bags to use again in the future.

Love the drawstring– and they’re machine washable! Sweet!

To Enter: Visit the Bite website, shop around, and leave a comment about the product and style that you would most like to own. I will randomly pick a winner tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

What an awesome idea!! I have reusable bags I always bring to the store, but not for produce, so I always waste plastic for those :( Would LOVE to try these – Modern Harvest especially!

OMG, those are absolutely adorable! I can think of several other uses for them as well. But I’d love to win the pink 3pak (because I’m utterly obsessed with pink)… or the bags rimmed with the cherries (always uber cute and girly). :)

What a great idea! I’m really loving the Pink 3 pack ( I love pink!) as well as the Rustic 3 pack. I’m really trying to get better at using reusable bags at the grocery store so these would just make it more fun to remember to use them :)

Those bags are the greatest thing I have seen in a long time!! I love the produce size of them, as the plastic produce bags in the supermarket are the ones I hate to use the most, as I hardly ever reuse them due to their size! Those would be great! Any of the styles or colors would be awesome!

I never use plastic produce bags except for things like loose green beans so these would be amazing. I always just put loose produce in my cart and it grosses me out when I load it up and there’s nasty things on the belt. I like the ones with the apples on them.. adorable!

I feel bad using plastic produce bags too, so I re-use them sometimes (if they don’t get all dirty). These bags are a GREAT idea. I need about 20 of them, since I buy a ton of produce for my family each week. The bags with the apples are so cute. :)

I really like the rhubarb line. It has a little pink but not too girly where my future husband won’t mind using them. I do like the pink pack though :D

I really like the Rustic three pack. I feel like I would use these all the time because they look as if they fold up small enough to go in my purse!
