Tuesday Afternoon, Bloody Marys?

Why not, right? ;-)

As you know, Jen came over to see the new place and hang out, but before I knew it, we were making Bloody Mary’s in the kitchen! I was not planning to drink this afternoon, but I had some RIPE Bloody Mary mix in the fridge that the company sent me last week, so I figured that I might as well give it a try!

The RIPE Bloody Mary mix was really good! Jen and I both approved! :-D It had a bold, sort of zesty flavor, and it was a bit thicker than most Bloody Mary mixes. Even as the ice in my drink melted, the mix stayed nice and thick. A little Frank’s hot sauce added the spiciness that I enjoy so much.

Basically, Jen and I concocted the most perfect Bloody Marys ever!

Snack

After drinking my Bloody Mary, I broke out a bag of Uncle Jerry’s pretzels to snack on. I ate at least 4 or 5 of them.

Dinner

Mal and I are going to Body Pump in a little while, so we kept dinner on the light side tonight. Lifting weights with a full stomach is just not a good time!

For dinner, we had Dr. Praegger’s veggie burgers + salsa.

And, on the side, the most delicious roasted broccoli EVER.

Off to find something sweet before Body Pump!

Enjoy the night, bloggies!

Bloody Marys always remind me of the plane, because my dad always gets them when we travel! Dr. Praeger’s are some of the best veggie burgers out there, IMO. Enjoy Body Pump!

I did roasted broccoli the other day for the first time with coconut oil! So delicious. The house stunk like crazy, but I did not care! I am glad you enjoyed your dinner and visit!

Man, coconut oil is so great for roasting veggies. Adds the most delicious hint of sweetness. I LOVE those Dr. Praegers curry burgers. They’re incredible in a mixed green salad with hummus and hot sauce.

    Enjoy Body Pump!

Oh yum! Bloody Mary’s on a sunny afternoon are SO WONDERFUL! Next time you should try adding Pickapeppa sauce (http://www.pickapeppa.com/) to your mix. It’s amazing, and brings a Bloody Mary to a whole other level! Enjoy Body Pump.

I can’t take Bloody Mary’s. The smell alone makes me want to gag. It’s the whole tomato juice thing. Ironically, every time I fly the person next to me gets tomato juice. It’s like a conspiracy.
