Is anyone else looking forward to St. Patrick’s Day? For some reason, I really am this year. Maybe it’s because I am dressing up for the 5K on Sunday? 
My family is Irish and all, but we’re not super Irish. I guess I’m just really excited to celebrate– the road race, my mom’s boiled dinner, Guinness… it sounds like a good time to me!
Lunch
I got into the St. Patty’s Day spirit by packing lots of shades of green in my lunch today. (Actually, that statement is a blatant lie. My lunch just randomly included lots of green foods and a wrapper. )
Today’s lunch included:
- Leftover barley deliciousness on a bed of arugula
- Sliced Kiwi
- Granny Smith Apple
- Pumpkin-N-Spice granola bar in a green wrapper
Ok, so the granola bar was a stretch, but it has green pumpkin seeds in it, so that counts, right?
Delicious! 
I also brought a package of OrGano Gold instant coffee that a reader sent to me to enjoy as a mid-morning snack. I’m very intrigued by the latte flavor. I’ll let ya know how it tastes!
I haven’t put a photo of Murphy on the blog in a few days, so here’s one from this morning.
This photo totally cracks me up, but I’m not sure what his expression says. Any ideas?

My lunch today was very orange: butternut squash, roasted red pepper hummus and carrots were all included. I guess together we could start to make the Irish flag!
I think it’s pretty clear that Murphy is saying, what are YOU looking at?
Love the dog pictures!! The picture clearly is a “Huh? What is she doing?” lol

I’m super excited about St. Patty’s Day, but I’m an Irish girl through and through. I’m actually making Irish Soda Bread later this afternoon, should be a fun experience!
The only thing that comes to mind is “whatchu lookin’ at Willis?”
My cats give us a similar expression…we say it means “silly human why are you bothering me with that camera again and why do you think I am so hilarious?”

I loveeee St. Patty’s day, I’m super Irish, and still like to pretend like i’m in college, so it usually means day drinking outside somewhere!

Oh too funny! I went to a seminar a year or so ago and they were promoting that coffee. I brought back quite a few samples. It tastes pretty good. I drink my coffee black, so the taste was great. I know there are also latte flavors, one with cream/milk and decaf. The fact that they’re organic, instant and delicious sold me. It’s nice to keep some at work or in your bag when you need that little pick me up.
I can’t wait for boiled dinner. My husband is Irish-American, but my grandmother used to always make us boiled dinner growing up and I loved it. Nothing beats corned beef and cabbage

St. Patti’s day is just a fun holiday, it’s all about food, beer, and fun.
Mom…is that camera permanently attached to ur hand? lol my chihuahua gives me that face a lot when I am taking her picture for the umpteenth time and she just wants to be left alone. Pls don’t stop, though, the pics are adorable and one of my fav parts of CNC
