Yowsahs!
Where has today gone! I can’t believe that it’s almost 4:00!?! My friend, Jen, is on her way over to hang out and see our new place, so I need to whiz right through this post.
Snack
Mid-morning, I poured myself a glass of iced coffee while I did some writing.

A little while later, I made another Guiltless Goodie.

Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup chickpeas
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup oats
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Directions: Combine all ingredients in food processor, pour batter into a microwave-safe bowl, and pop in the microwave for 60 seconds.
Makes 2 servings

Workout
Around noon, I finally took a break to squeeze in a quick workout. I ran 3 miles around the neighborhood in 25:35. Then, Murphy and I headed out for a walk. We covered 1.5 miles in about 30 minutes.

Lunch
This morning, I got a serious craving for a smoothie, so I tweeted for ideas. (Twitter is great for stuff like this!
) Laura of Run Momma Run gave me a great idea when she tweeted: “It isn’t a smoothie without peanut butter in my book.” Obviously, she was right on and inspired my smoothie this afternoon.

In the mix:
- 6 oz. Chobani vanilla yogurt
- 6 oz. vanilla hemp milk
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup frozen butternut squash
- 1 tbsp Vega Smoothie Infusion
- Cinnamon
- Handful of ice
It was a really good smoothie– delicious and SO filling! It was basically a meal in a glass!
Jen is here! Gotta boogie!

That smoothies looks awesome – almost like a pina coloda!
Great run!
That smoothie looks like the perfect combination! Heck yeah to the butternut squash! I love oven roasted butternut squash on top of my oats…I bet it would be so good in a smoothie. I don’t normally do the smoothie thing, but I think I may have to do something like this!
That smoothie looks great!
Have a great time with your friend!
What an awesome run time! I can already tell I’m going to like the guiltless goody ideas!
such creative smoothie ingredients. YUM! i’ve been wanting to make an “almond joy” smoothie with chocolate, coconut and almond butter, but i still have yet to do it. i gotta get on that bad boy!!!
Mmmhmm that guiltless goodie looks delicious.
Your “Guiltless Goodie” reminds me of Glutino products (gluten-free), which use garbanzo powder — their chocolate breakfast-type bar is really good, so I bet your mixture hit the spot.
That guiltless treat looks delicious! I wish I had a food processor!
i am LOVING these guiltless goodies! this one looks especially yummy
when I read your smoothie ingredients I read “rice” instead of ice — can’t imagine!
hurray for guiltless goodies! i have a can of chickpeas at home with that treat’s name on it…
hope you’re enjoying your day at home for writing!!!
:O that smoothie….you’ve got all my favourite flavours in there! Have a good time with your friend
Chickpeas and peanut butter – two of my favourite things. Hurrah for fly-by-afternoons!
Oh wow that smoothie looks so creamy!
I love squash in smoothies! Butternut squash is the new pumpkin in my book!
Another speedy run!
i have got to get a garmin–i feel like my running outside would improve a lot. i just run casually outside but think the garmin would really help motivate me more.
Twitter is fabulous for instant results! Your smoothie looks like a winner.
Mmm…smoothies. I love the PB&Co smoothie: 1 cup soymilk, 1 frozen banana, 2T Bee’s Kness PB, honey & ice – yummm!
That smoothie sounds so good
your smoothie looks sooooo tasty!
Way to get some writing done today and making a yummy treat! You’re getting it done!
I need to try making a smoothie with peanut butter! also need to try your guiltless goodie – delish!
I had a smoothie for lunch this afternoon too! Although mine had mangoes and cherries. I think I was dreaming about a chocolate/PB smoothie in my dreams last night and coming up with a recipe for a healthy one.
GREAT run Tina!
Holy cow, that smoothie looks amazing!
I was pumped! about this smoothie till I got to the butternut squash part :> Glad it tasted good though; that’s all that matters! My smoothie this morning was: banana, raspberries, almond breeze, peanut butter, flax, ice, and a little choc. protein powder
Does the butternut squash have a strong taste in the smoothie? I LOVE all squash but hadn’t thought to put it in a smoothie before. I will have to give it a try. Was the guiltless goodie a success? It sure looks god!
i love molasses! i’ve never bought it though or had it at home. i guess i’m afraid it’ll get messy…
Fantastic run!
That smoothie looks delectable!
A smoothie sounds good right now. I ran 4.5 miles earlier and could use a recovery drink. Unfortunately, the husband is asleep and I don’t think he’d appreciate it if I turned the blender on.
if you add pb to anything it instantly becomes delicious. SERIOUSLY.
O, MAN! Just made your guiltless goodie and it is O, SO YUMMY!!!!! Seriously, wonderful. I subbed some walnuts for the almonds…delish
That smoothie looks SO. GOOD. Like a big cup of ice cream!
I’m always so impressed/inspired by how much exercise you fit into one day. Between running, BodyPump and walking Murphy, you really get moving!
What do you put in your iced coffee???
I just found this website, and I love it!
Usually just soy milk!
