Tea for You

February 25, 2010

Good morning, bloggies!

It’s a cold, rainy morning here, so it was tough getting out of bed at 5 AM to write. I really wanted to stay in bed, under the covers, and cuddle with my husband and my pup, but my unfinished first draft was calling my name. Word by word.

Breakfast

About an hour after waking, it was time for breakfast. I made a wonderful batch of blueberry-walnut oats, topped with a big scoop of Barney Butter.

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Walnuts
  • Chia seeds
  • Barney Butter

IMG_6127.JPG

The Barney Butter got all melty and wonderful from the heat of the oats. Mmm! So good!

And, as always, I enjoyed a glass of iced coffee with vanilla soy milk with breakfast. I actually wanted hot coffee this morning, but I was too lazy to put on a fresh pot.

I don’t know a lot about tea so I’d probably order a sample set (the flavored blacks) and the tea set so I could acquaint myself better.

I’d love to try the sencha orange of green mint. I had never really been a big fan of mint flavored food…except for thin mints ;-) …but more recently I noticed I’ve been liking them, so I’d like to give it a try!
