Frickin’ Ecto

February 28, 2010

I have a serious love-hate relationship with Ecto. It makes blogging a million times easier, but every once in awhile, it just stops working for no reason at all. It worked perfectly fine this afternoon, but now it doesn’t work at all. I just spend the last 2 hours fighting with it, but I had no luck fixing it. Looks like I am visiting the Apple store tomorrow. :-?

Anyway, here’s a quick recap of this afternoon and evening.

Puppy playtime was lots of fun. Murph played his little heart out. Now, he’s passed out on the couch… snoring loudly.

Mid-afternoon, I snacked on some sweet, juicy cantaloup.

For dinner, I made one of my favorite Real Simple recipes: Mac & Cheese with Cauliflower.

I paired the Mac & Cheese with a small side salad. I also drank a POM + seltzer with dinner.

And, for dessert, I enjoyed a No-Bake Protein Bar. I added raisins, walnuts, and chia seeds to mine.

Gah! I’m SO FRUSTRATED by the whole Ecto thing!!!  Hopefully, it all gets worked out tomorrow.

Good night!

I can’t say I’ve ever had problems with Ecto; I’ve just never used it.
The protein bar looks like a fun dessert. I just picked up my first chia seeds today!

I will take one of each of those things you posted about – pom spritzer, mac and cheese AND no bake protein bar. I think I will put that on my list of things to (not) bake this week! Technology is a love/hate relationship…great when it works and REALLY stinks when it doesn’t!

I never have it quit working for huge periods of time, but I have times where it messed up the format, doesn’t post the post at all, or completely eats it up! I don’t get it!

Oh! I have no idea what ecto is, but I’ve heard a few people talking about issues with it!
I’m sure it’ll all get straightened out soon!
As usual, Murphy is adorable! Have a great night!!

We made mac and cheese tonight too! Only I added sauteed crimini mushrooms. It was such a delicious combination! Good luck with Ecto tomorrow!

@Katy ( The Balanced Foodie ): If you start to notice that Ecto doesn’t double space between entered lines of text, copy what you’ve written, close the post and restart the program. If it’s having formatting issues, that’s the first surefire sign it’s going to screw up. I follow this rule, copy and save every post before I hit publish, and haven’t lost a post since. Good luck!

I have been craving cauliflower lately (and have eaten my fair share!) so I think I need to try it with mac and cheese, it sounds awesome. Good luck with your computer problems :-(

That mac and cheese looks delicious! And with the veggie in there it isn’t just a pile of cheesy starch, either. Good luck with your computer problems!

I had a LOOOOONG battle with Ecto this past week. I was FUMING. I’m pretty sure I killed 10+ precious hours fighting with it. I agree though…blogging on wordpress is a nightmare. Let me know if I can help you with anything.

I didn’t know what Ecto was until last week, I’m a Windows user though, I have my own set of problems LOL.

That mac ‘n cheese looks divine!

I don’t get technology, It’s suppose to make our life easier but sometimes I just feel like it makes it that much harder…. I just don’t get it. Murphy is such a happy little guy :) Have you ever seen Milo and Otis? ( If not you should, its just a really cute movie with a Murphy in it)

Mac in cheese with cauliflower is ah-mazinggg. Never made it single-serving like that though. It’s like, take one of the biggest no-no foods and make it healthy and actually taste better! awesome.

Oh poor you re Ecto :( I had it when tecnhology breaks and you can’t work out why – it seems to be a frequent occurance with me! (But then maybe that’s jut my stupidity with anything technology related….)

I’m such a techno-illiterate – I feel your pain! But that sweet treat looks delectables enough to (almost) make up for it! :)

Sorry to hear that ecto is being a pain. I’m currently using a trial version of the program, so hearing things like this make sme a little hesitant to take the plunge and purchase it.

Technology issues aside, your eats look amazing. That mac n’ cheese looks so hearty and comforting.

My dog is a puggle – pug + beagle – and he snores so loud too through his little pug nose. It’s basically the most adorable sound EVER!

My little dog, Gracie, just got spayed and she’s driving us crazy … she has so much energy, but she’s not allowed to run around because of the surgery. Of course, we have 2 other dogs who get her riled up, so my husband and I have had quite the headache! LOL!

Of course, we’re lucky that they don’t snore. My BIL has a beagle and I can hear him through the floor when he’s snoring! It’s awful! For someone like me who’s a very light sleeper, snoring is a no-no.

Hm. I wonder why I keep my husband then? :-) J/K
