Cheesecake Heaven

February 5, 2010

I was in cheesecake heaven tonight!

Eli’s makes a mean Candy Bar Cheesecake. Holy deliciousness!

IMG_4807.JPG

This was quite an amazing cheesecake! It was caramel-flavored cheesecake packed with chunks of Heath Bar and topped with chocolate and pieces of Heath Bars. Mmm!

IMG_4808.JPG

Dave and Marie were more than happy to take half of the cheesecake home with them for later.

IMG_4810.JPG

I enjoyed a Wolaver’s Oatmeal Stout with my cheesecake.

IMG_4801.JPG

My piece was small, but filling and soooo rich!

IMG_4825.JPG

After eating cheesecake, we showed our guests our dry ice party trick.

IMG_4821.JPG

IMG_4823.JPG

Obviously, they were impressed. ;-)

IMG_4827.JPG

IMG_4828.JPG

My husband is pretty much obsessed with this stuff.

IMG_4832.JPG

He probably would have spent the entire night playing with it if we hadn’t run out.

IMG_4833.JPG

My stomach is so full after cheesecake and beer, but it was totally worth it. Now, I need to lie down and digest.

Good night!

Tina
I fully believe in indulging now and then. But I couldn’t help but notice that you have been hitting the sweets pretty hard lately :) Could you please explain how these indulgences fit into your “lose the dough” plan?

The cheesecake looks soooo good…don’t blame ya!

Mmmm, Heath bars are my favorite type of candy bar, hands down. Heath bar + cheesecake = instant win. No questions asked.

That cheesecake is definitely work an indulge night. Wow, it looks absolutely amazing and I’m not even normally a fan of cheesecake!!

@Annie: I guess they don’t, but I’m not one to pass up a delicious dessert. I guess I’ll spend some extra time on the treadmill tomorrow.

How do you type the Homer Simpson drooling noise?
“Cheesecake… aglahghaghalmm…”

LOL with Mal and the dry ice! Is he a science teacher?

That looks ridiculously amazing. I’m drooling right now. Good thing your friends were nice enough to take half home huh? :) I could not have that in my house or I’d destroy it myself. :)

I need to join you at the gym tomorrow … if only I still had a membership, I’d hit Zumba class.

Hi Tina! I have been reading your blog for a few months now and have never commented.

I saw these two posts on CuteOverload.com and could not resist the urge to share them with you.

I can second the fact that dry ice is SO fun! In the lab I used to work at, we had loads of fun playing around with them and creating little test tube rockets! On another note, it might have been disastrous if I stepped near that amazing looking cheesecake :)

Cheesecake and beer…. I’ve never tried the combination, to be honest, but I’ll have to. Heath bar is by far the greatest topping (for anything) ever, so obviously the cheesecake looks insanely delicious :)

I am SO HAPPY to see that you had some dessert tonight! i am also trying to do a variation of Lose the Dough but more like maintaining. Anyways, your outlook on exercising and junk food is so inspiring. My boyfriend also likes to eat somewhat “junky” food on occasion and so I am so glad I can relate to you.
In fact, I had ice cream + garlic bread for dessert tonight!

I want that so badly right now – and I’m lactose intolerant! I also love how it’s already portioned out for you – though no way could I stop at one!

Boys and their toys! Sadly, that probably wouldn’t have been my husband, but me! I’m easily distracted by anything that sparkles, has bright lights, or smokes or vapors! That cheesecake looks absolutely amazing! I’m glad you had a good night!

Oh my gosh. That cheesecake looks INCREDIBLE! And that’s something coming from me, I normally don’t like cheescake :P Big congrats to you for showing portion control round that beast – that’s the kind of situation where I’d have one piece..then a little spoon here and there aftrwards….haha.
Glad you had fun!

It cracks me up that Mal was more pumped about the dry ice than the cheesecake. It reminds me of when I was little and got a Barbie Car for Christmas…my brother and I played with the BOX for weeks! Hahaha.

Yum that cheesecake looks so good. Love love love cheesecake. The great thing about it is that you don’t need a huge slice because it’s always so filling.
