Ask Me Anything

February 12, 2010

YAY for FRIDAY!!!  I’m really looking forward to having the next few days off and spending it with our out-of-town guests!

Lunch

I ate the rest of my Tossed Garden Salad for lunch this afternoon. It seemed like a huge portion that would fill me up, but by the time I got home, I was starving!

Snack

When I got home from work, I made 2 packets of instant oatmeal, added a splash of egg whites, and big scoop of Barney Butter. It hit the spot. I feel so much better now!

Ask Me Anything

I decided to jump on the blogger bandwagon with Ask Me Anything. I’m a little nervous about the questions that I will receive, but after talking to Sabrina about it, I think reader questions will help fuel some new post topics on my blog. So, without further ado: Ask Me Anything!

I tweeted about Ask Me Anything earlier this afternoon, and I’ve already received a TON of questions. To get the ball rolling, here’s just a sampling:

Let’s give you a chance to spread some bloggie love – what are your favorite blogs to read (besides Kath, Caitlin, Jenna, Meghann and Heather)?

My Google Reader is out of control. I read a TON of blogs. There are so many good ones out there!

As for bloggie love, here are just some of the blogs that I check-in with a few times a week:

Who are your favorites? I love adding new blogs to my Reader!

How much do you spend a month on groceries?

Generally, Mal and I spend less than $300 per month. Our budget is $75 per week and we almost always come in below that. Of course, there are weeks that we go over budget, but it’s usually due to entertaining or buying booze.

Ok, this is not meant to be offensive at all, but do you have breast implants?

Um, no.

What kind of hair products do you use?

I pretty much use whatever is on sale at CVS or Target! Right now in my shower, I have John Frieda’s Root Awakening shampoo and conditioner, which I like a lot. They have a fresh, minty scent and make my hair soft and shiny. I also use Neutogena Triple Moisture Shine Serum when I blowdry my hair. I’ve been using it for years and it’s the best!

Just saw you on PeopleTV.com. Kelly Ripa is talking about the bake off and at one point they showed your team decorating your cake. :)

I thought you had implants, too! Because with being in as awesome shape as you are and as skinny as you are, I thought no way they could stay that way and be real! guess I was wrong but I’m glad I wasn’t the one to ask :X

People ask the weirdest questions! Someone asked me if I had implants too! (I don’t.) I thought it was so strange!

I love all of the blogs you mentioned. :) yours is definitely a favorite, Tina!

Just to ease some worry, I think you are totally allowed to use your own discretion when choosing what questions to answer on your blog. I think it’s awesome to hear your response to so many different types of questions though!

Great list of blogs, some of my favorites too.

LOL I can’t believe someone asked if you have breast implants. I just laughed out loud and had to explain to other people what was so funny. Anyway, this is definitely going to be fun- I’ll try to think of something relatively normal to ask you!

Questions: How much income (a range) is generated from your blog and from what sources? Are you paid by sponsors? Who is the publisher of your book and what is the first print run?

So fun for those answers but creepy question about your breasts.

Thanks for the shout out! Don’t you love the Ask Me Anything questions? You get a few out there ones, and a few that are rude, but the good outweigh the bad!

Not sure if you already know, but just watched my DVR of Racheal Ray from this morning and Kelly Ripa was on talking about the Cake Off. There was a still shot of you and the Mod Squad cake team!

$300 a month on groceries?! That’s impressive. I spend about $600 a month feeding myself, my hubby, and my 11-month old. We NEVER go out to eat though, so I guess it’s not so bad. I pack my lunch for work everyday, too.

Awe, thank you so much for the blog love! I’m having a crap night and it just made me really happy to know you’re still checking in often, despite my crap blogging lately. :-)

Haha, I think that’s funny that someone asked if you had implants. I actually wondered this too (don’t think I’m weird) but I think it’s just because you have such a small body frame, yet were still blessed when it comes to the chest-ular area. Yay for natural boobs! By the way, I saw your cake last night on Extra. Very cool and I’ve been voting for it. I hope it wins :)

I really love Food for Laughter. She’s a psychiatric nurse with a crazy stressful job and she still writes beautiful poetic posts with insanely delicious recipes.
And I like my blog, obvi :D

I have to say I have always thought that you have great breasts! I swear I’m not weird or anything-I’m comfortable in my womenhood to admit it when a lady has got it going on! lol

Reply

Heather November 22, 2010 at 11:27 pm

I do not believe for one second that your breasts are real. There is no way that you lost all that weight and still have gigantic, round, gravity-defying breasts. How can you possibly claim to be so honest and let all of your readers into your life when you can’t admit something so trivial. Id be 153 lbs with natural curves any day than be skinny and have to LIE about my fake boobs. Please.

Reply

Tina November 23, 2010 at 6:31 am

@Heather: I don’t have fake breasts. Why would I lie about that?
