I’ve had quite the Saturday so far! I don’t think that I’ve stopped moving all day. Must be all of that espresso!
The photo shoot for OpenSky went much better than expected. Usually, I get SO nervous on camera and speaking in front of groups– and I avoid these types of situations as much as possible. Basically, I panic. My mind goes blank and I start sweating… it’s not a pretty sight.
Anyway, things went fairly well. I was really nervous at first, but it got easier after the first couple of products.

I’m actually REALLY excited about the products in my shop. They’re all wonderful, but one in particular is going to knock your socks off!

Hint: I made an awesome iced soy latte with it for lunch this afternoon!

I also had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a Sandwich Thin.

After lunch, I set out for baking supplies. I have a lot of cookies to bake this afternoon!
Instead of driving to the grocery store, I decided to make the trip my exercise for the day. I walked a mile to the grocery store and then a mile home. It was a nice, little walk that got my heart pumping, especially on the walk back!
Here are some photos of my neighborhood:

It was a cold yet sunny day in South Boston.

The walk home was much more strenuous with two huge sacks of groceries. I was sweating by the time I walked home and up 4 flights of stairs to our apartment. It definitely felt like a workout to me!

Check out the loot that I lugged home!

When I got home from my walk, I chugged some water and snacked on a Red Delicious apple.

I have lots of baking to do! Better get crackin’!
Hope you’re enjoying your Saturday!

walking to the store with all those groceries on the way back was most def a workout! everything looks gooood. glad your shoot went well. i, too, get nervous before those types of things also. you crack me up with your iced coffees–it has to be freezing in boston.
Not only is walking to the store a great idea for a fitness substitute, but that would also qualify as a major Green Heart! (www.bluetreegreenheart.com)
Double kudos!
I totally agree that walking home laden with groceries counts as a workout. Have a great afternoon of baking!
I need to visit your Open Sky store!
Walking with those groceries is definitely a work out
Have fun baking
Public speaking makes me CRAZY nervous so I can relate! And that’s for sure a workout. I wish I could walk to the grocery store but that’s pretty much impossible where I live.
Living in NYC with no car means I always have to walk home with groceries. Today I carried home a chicken. It was a good mini workout!
You have a really pretty neighborhood!
Glad the photo shoot went well!
Dude. When my grocery list gets to be more than a few items long, I always opt for taking my car. I believe you just inspired me to suck it up and walk!
Ooh, you shouldn’t have that apple sitting on the package of raw meat…. eek

I see you picked up some Teddie brand peanut butter, I can’t get that in Florida, but I make sure my family has some on hand when I go back to Upstate NY for a visit
