Slow and Sleepy
Goooooood morning! 
Well, it was another slow, sleepy morning for Murphy and me today. I slept through my 4:29 writing alarm and he spent an extra 45 minutes laying in our bed. (This dog is SO spoiled.) I guess we really needed the sleep, right? Maybe some writing will happen tomorrow.
Breakfast
Awesome 3-Minute Cookie this morning! I love these things! 
I doubled the recipe for a more hearty meal.
In the mix:
- 1/4 cup MixMyGranola
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/4 liquid egg whites
- 1.5 tbsp Vega Smoothie Infusion
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
I spread about 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter on top. So delish! 
We were out of iced coffee this morning (the horror!), so I made a pot of the hot stuff. I added a splash of vanilla soy milk to my mug.

Oh, the signs are so cute! I’d love to get a red “Keep Calm & Love Running” since running is on my mind as I train for a marathon. Right now I’m not ‘loving’ it, but feel good after it.
Just read your ‘about’ me section…..I too got my Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs. I went to the University of Vermont. I’m actually looking to make a career change and go back to school for my teacher certification.

The Keep Calm and Love Football is great, but sometimes watching football gets me worked up, so I’d pick the Keep Calm and Ride Bikes since it’d be a great encouragement to get more exercise and riding my bike makes me feel like a kid again.

Keep Calm and Ride Bikes – I get out on my bike when I ned to relax, I think something about the effort and the solitude and the fact that I have 2 bikes and one was the last thing my grandmother ever bought me and the other my mother won for me at a raffle. I’m just excited you posted the source for these prints. For myself I would choose the “Keep Calm and Love Running”… but I would probably want to get the “Keep Calm and Eat Cupcakes” for my friend to hang in her cupcake shop here in Las Vegas. I love them all! I wish there was a Schnauzer one, but since there isn’t, I have to go with Keep Calm and Drink Wine. I think the two go hand and hand very nicely.

I also have a question on how you have your coffee (I know you get a lot of comments on this). I’ve seen on your blog that you have made your coffee with regular cow’s non-fat milk sometimes but other times have it with soy-milk. So I was wondering what the difference was (maybe the soy-milk when out at fast-food places like starbucks/dunkin donuts or just what container you had available at home?). Thanks so much! This is going to be a crazy year for me: I finished grad school a few weeks ago, I got a promotion this week (read: I’m straddling two jobs), and I’m getting married in May. I really love all of them, but I would have to say the Keep Calm and Love Pugs is my favorite. I have an 8 year old lady, Charlotte, that has moved with me from CT to TX, and now finally to California. To say Charlotte is my best friend is under statement. She has been with me through thick and thin, and never ceases to bring joy to my life. She loves everyone, and everything, and constantly reminds me that the best things in life, like sleeping in the sun, leisurely walks on the beach, good food, and lots of love, are indeed free.
