Pug Peanut Butter Addiction

Hi, guys! :-D I have a funny, little story for you this morning.

As you know, I wake up about 1.5 hours before Mal and Murphy do. Usually, I wait until they are awake to make breakfast, but this morning, my stomach was grumbling. So, I made myself some oatmeal with peanut butter.

Little did I know, my dog has super-sonic hearing when it comes to peanut butter, specifically the Teddie variety. If you’ve had Teddie, you know that the jar comes with a tin lid that makes a very distinct sound when you open it. In fact, the sound is so distinguishable, it woke Murphy out of a dead sleep. Apparently, he jumped out of bed, went running to the bedroom door, and starting whining. He has a worse peanut butter addiction that I do! It’s almost like his doggie drug. I may need to start looking into drug rehab centers for him!

Man, he’s cute! ;-)

Breakfast

I understand why Murphy loves peanut butter so much. It’s frickin’ delicious! And, this morning, it was easily the highlight of breakfast.

IMG_2946.JPG

I made Oats in a Jar with raisins, cinnamon, ground flaxseed meal, and an extra scoop of peanut butter from a new jar.

IMG_2952.JPG

IMG_2949.JPG

It was SUCH a yummy breakfast!

IMG_2951.JPG IMG_2954.JPG

Later in the morning, I made myself an iced soy latte with a squirt of agave nectar.

Creamy, cold, and refreshing.

Be sure to check out my new feature on Trading Up Downtown called Shop, Trade, Save. You can see what I purchased at the grocery store this week as well as how I saved money and “traded-up” the nutritiousness of my selections.

Question of the Day

Complete this sentence: “I’m the kind of gal (or guy) who likes ____.”

Feel free to have fun and get creative! ;-)

    Tina-
Is it weird that you were in my dream and we never met? Yep. We were running next to each other on the TM at HW in Boston (by the way, I used to belong to that lovely gym back in graduate school – now I am far far away from Boston). And I told you “you are like a celebrity to me!” in the dream. How is that we dream about people we never met?

I’m the kind of gal who believes staying positive can help you overcome any challenge in life.
