I’ll Start My Diet Tomorrow

Well, I don’t really do “diets,” but ya know what I mean, right? ;-)

With the start of a new year, you’d think I’d want to start it off right with some healthy eats. Well, my hangover had a different idea. :-?

Lunch

Mal, our friend, Josh, and I ordered a greasy cheese pizza to share for lunch. We’re all feeling a bit blah after last night’s partying.

I ended up eating two slices of cheesy, greasy goodness. They actually made me feel a little bit better.

I washed down the pizza with a piece of fudge.

Pizza and fudge: definitely not that healthiest start to 2010!

Breakfast

Breakfast, however, was a healthy meal of peanut butter and banana slices on top of a Sandwich Thin. But, it didn’t settle my stomach like I hoped it would. I needed something heavier (and apparently greasier), like pizza, in my stomach.

I also drank some iced coffee with breakfast.

I’m off to the gym. Hopefully, some exercise will make me feel better.

Boo hangovers!

I am right there with ya sister..lol. Breakfast was cheesy and fat filled. Hangover’s seem to do that to you. Hopefully the great exercise endorphins will help out.

Haha – I agree. It’s too difficult to eat healthfully during the holidays. As soon as you go back to your regular eating routine any water weight you might have put on will just fall right off :)

    Happy 2010!

You are too funny. I’m feeling the same way today. Definitely thought I could start my day off healthy but it didn’t end up that way. At least you’ll start your “diet” tomorrow instead of pushing it off until Monday like me… I’m giving myself the benefit of the doubt but hoping to get back on track tomorrow :)

Eh, why eat any differently today than you would any other day? A hangover is a hangover, even when it is the new year ;)

I know exactly what you mean! We are leaving on a week long vacation Sunday so right now is “eat whatever is left in the fridge!” I read a quote the other day that I think sums it all up nicely though…”Most people are so concerned with what they eat between Christmas and New Years when really they should be most concerned with what they eat between New Years and Christmas.”

lol– starting a diet hungover is never a good idea. All that grease probably helped soak up the alcohol, right!?! :-)

I ate some very unhealthy foods today too. I had 5 guys burgers and fries for lunch and ate cici’s pizza buffet for dinner. Ummm yeah not the best but it was well needed for my slight hangover ha ha

LOL, I was doing so well this week, back on track after christmas, well the 2nd half of the week, I needed to get the snack foods and candies gone. But new year’s eve and today I have been munching on decidedly unhealthy things. Tomorrow is another day, I just wish I didn’t have a weigh in tomorrow…

My New Year’s definitely included a giant hamburger. I threw a New Year’s brunch today, and now I’ve got lots of leftovers, only some of which are healthy. Hmm.
