Chia Seed Shopping Spree

January 27, 2010

Hi, guys! 8-)

I wrote this post right after breakfast this morning. My car desperately needs an oil change after work, and then Mal and I are looking at another apartment, so I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to blog about lunch. I guess blogging at 9 AM about lunch is better than never, right? ;-)

Lunch

I packed a well-rounded lunch this afternoon– well, at least, I think so! ;-)

Apple cinnamon Pure Bar + sliced kiwi.

Homemade salad + plain Chobani + Jazz apple.

A delicious and satisfying lunch. Goal achieved!

iHerb Giveaway

In addition to hopping on the chia seed bandwagon, I also jumped on the spirulina and whey protein bandwagons. Like the chia seeds, I’ve seen these items all over the blogs lately, so when iHerb approached me with an offer to choose $50 worth of goodies from their website for free, I figured why not try some new products?

When I first visited the iHerb website, I thought it was a total scam. The website looks SO sketchy! But, the site did have a large selection of vitamins, supplements, and natural health products, so I emailed the person who contacted me to inquire about the offer. The offer seemed legit, so I shopped around on their website, found everything that I wanted, and a few days later, some new products showed up in the mail. (I actually ran into a small shipping snag, but the iHerb customer service people were right on top of it!)

Anyway, the point of this whole story is that in addition to offering me a shopping spree, iHerb has offered to give one Carrots ‘N’ Cake reader a $50 Shopping Spree* to purchase anything that they want from the iHerb website! In addition, iHerb will take care of all of the shipping and handling costs. Cool!

To Enter: Visit the iHerb website, shop around, and leave a comment on this post about a product that you would like to try. I will randomly pick a winner tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

Giveaway only open to US residents. Sorry international readers!

I would love to try the Chia Seeds. It’s funny, a woman I work with was eating these in her yogurt today, and I asked about them. And, here they are on your blog. Serendipity! :)
