Scharffen Berger Giveaway

December 1, 2009

Ahhh, it’s here!!! The 12 Days of Giveaways on Carrots ‘N’ Cake!

I’m kicking of the celebration with two of my favorite things: (cooking) books and chocolate!

DSC01327

Have you tried Scharffen Berger chocolate? Well, it’s a little taste of heaven.

You may or may not know that Scharffen Berger had a cameo appearance in the August released blockbuster Julie and Julia. The brand was a favorite of Julia Childs.

The folks at Scharffen Berger have offered to giveaway 3 prize packages that include a paperback copy of the Julie and Julia book, a Scharffen Berger baking bar, and chocolate bar branded for the film.

To Enter: Leave a comment about your favorite chocolate recipe. Bonus points for a Julia Child recipe! ;-)

I will randomly pick 3 winners tomorrow morning. Good luck! :-D

My favorite chocolate “recipe” is actually just to toast a piece of homemade french bread and lay a piece on dark chocolate on it until it melts slightly. I’m in love with chocolate toast.

I love chocolate in any form, but my current favorite “recipe” is topping a chocolate vitatop with a few Trader Joe’s mini PB cups. Chocolate heaven.

A creation called Bottomless cupcake. Chocolate cupcake w/a center of cream cheese, vanilla, sugar and mini chocolate chips. On top of that, I slap on homemade chocolate frosting (not a fan of store bought frosting). Yum!
