Pugs Like Snow?
Who knew pugs liked snow? Not me!
My crazy little pug absolutely loved playing in the snow this afternoon!

Murphy actually frolicked through the snow, jumping in and out of snow banks.

Mal really got into puppy playtime, too. He had Murphy running all over the place.

Of course, Murphy liked eating the snow, too.

This dog has no fear. Look how daring he is climbing up that snowbank!

Even though I offered to help shovel out my car, Mal insisted on doing it himself. What a guy!

Meanwhile, Murphy and I listened to Christmas songs and kept warm in the car.

Less than 20 minutes later, my car was completely dug out. Thanks, Mal!

On our walk back to our apartment, we encountered a beautiful sunset over West Broadway.

Dinner
I basically snacked all afternoon long, so I never made myself a “real” lunch. I didn’t snap photos either. (I’m a bum.) Afternoon snacks included Chocolate Peppermint Bar Cookies, Baked Cheetos, a pear, and some pistachios. Apparently, being snowed in affects my eating habits.
I wasn’t in the mood to cook dinner tonight, so I threw together a quick salad using my leftovers from last night’s Burrito Grande. The meal was delicious and filling.

Obviously, more Chocolate Peppermint Bar Cookies are for dessert.
I still haven’t finished my Health post yet, but my brain hurts. I think the evening calls for a Christmas movie instead.
Good night, guys!

Lol, my dog hates snow! He’s a bit of an old fart, and I love him
Megan (The Runner's Kitchen) — December 20, 2009 @ 9:07 pm
Love the photos of Murphy in the snow
I’ve also been snacking all day long. My dinner was such a mish-mosh: baked sweet potato wedges with ketchup and a greek yogurt with pb & j mixed in. Oh well, at least I included (most) of the food groups!

That’s crazy! I never would have guessed a pug would like the snow! Being home all day makes me eat a lot too!
Jennifer — December 20, 2009 @ 9:12 pm
I wonder if our bulldog would like the snow? They are extreme temperature sensitive so probably not. We are thinking of adding a pug to the family at some point. Does Murphy shed a lot? I am not sure I could deal with a double dose of short hair everywhere.
If I was snowed in with those peppermint bark cookies there would be trouble! They look fantastic!

Murphy is so cute in the snow
You had a lot of snow. Here in Montreal, we had a big snowstorm 2 weeks ago. I just hope it won’t snow too much this week cause on Wednesday I’m going home to my parents and it’s 3 hours drive. And it’s me who drives
Happy Holidays

That is so precious! I saw lots of dogs playing in the snow today and it made me want one — although the idea of having to walk a dog during a blizzard is not appealing.

CalliNae — December 21, 2009 @ 12:19 am
Will you post a video of the pug in snow? It makes me giggle so hard to see him doing silly things! I always thought I hated pugs, but seriously, I am in LOVE with Murphy. As in, i might have to get my own pug one day
Chelsea — December 21, 2009 @ 12:28 am
How cute were your puppies in the snow? YOU being snowed in apparently affects my appetite too!
Deva (Voracious Vorilee) — December 21, 2009 @ 12:28 am
I love watching dogs play in the snow – it’s so adorable! Murphy looks like he had a blast – was he super tired when he came in?
Cynthia (It All Changes) — December 21, 2009 @ 12:42 am
Did Murphy roll around it it too? Our dogs like to play and lick but our Pomm likes to do barrel rolls in the snow too.

Olive liked the snow too, she just didn’t want to potty in it. And, I love the sunset photo- so pretty.
Being snowed in definitely affected my eating habits. I ate snacked ALL day and on things I wouldn’t normally eat- oh well!!
rachael — December 21, 2009 @ 10:07 am
My puggle loves the snow! Murphy is so cute!
Elizabeth — December 21, 2009 @ 11:45 am
What a gorgeous sunset! We had our French bulldog running around like a wild man in Southie this weekend. I wasn’t sure how he’d react to the snow, but I couldn’t get him to go back inside.
Great idea mixing your burritovers (burrito leftovers… maybe?) with greens. Looks delicious!
Melissa — December 21, 2009 @ 1:44 pm
We saw that sunset too! My daughter, who loves pink, was so enamoured with it!
legalstyle — December 21, 2009 @ 5:55 pm
