My First Breakfast Cookie

December 15, 2009

Good morning!

I am devoting my morning to WRITING since I haven’t done a damn thing on my book yet. I am making progress today!

Breakfast

I’ve read about Gina’s famous Breakfast Cookie all over the blogs for months now, so I finally decided to give it a whirl myself.

To be honest, as I was making my Breakfast Cookie last night, I kept thinking: how the heck is this going to taste good and fill me up? I had faith in the Fitnessista, so I followed her directions and put my Breakfast Cookie in the fridge overnight to do its thing.

This morning, I was pleasantly surprised with my Breakfast Cookie! :-D I spread some Barney Butter on top and dug right in. It was SO delicious. It tasted just like regular oatmeal, but much more hearty. I didn’t think the Breakfast Cookie would fill me up like my usual bowl of oats, but man, did it! My stomach is very content right now. ;-)

As for my Breakfast Cookie ingredients, I used Barney Butter as the nut butter and I substituted the protein powder for Vega Whole Food Smoothie Infusion, which worked great.

I also drank some Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea with breakfast.

Question of the Day

What’s your favorite recipe from the blog world?

I’m a huge fan of Kath’s whipped banana oatmeal, but I’ve been wanting to try the Breakfast Cookie for a while now! Definitely know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow!

i like breakfast cookies tastes, but not the mushy texture. i wanna try flipping them over in the freezer and seeing if that helps, but that’ll have to wait til the summer for me to try!

I love, love, love breakfast cookies! They are the best ! Plus they keep me so full I can’t believe it ! The best thing about them is the fact that you can be creative with the add-ins, so they never get boring AND they are portable ! For me that makes them the perfect breakfast food ! Glad you liked them too!
