It Feels Like Christmas Morning

Ahhhh! The 12 Days of Giveaways celebration begins today! YAY! :mrgreen:

Surprisingly, I wasn’t in the mood for my usual bowl of oats this morning. I craved something cold.

    I love the festive look of the red place mats! The most exciting thing I ever won, was seriously a paper plane flying contest at the Children’s Museum. I think I was 7. My brother was entering and therefore, I was forced to enter as well. Low and behold I somehow one. My price… a book about raccoons!

    So far, I think the best thing I’ve won from a blog giveaway was a copy of “Food, Inc.” That was pretty cool. But in general, the best thing I won was VIP tickets to see my favorite band in concert here in my hometown. For some reason, I have a little bit of luck when it comes to calling radio stations and being the right caller. Ha ha.

    i really haven’t won too much! last year did win a copy of the movie “a christmas story” on dvd though! i have yet to open it… something on the holiday “to do” list i guess! :)

    I just won Trader Joes Super Powder on Meghan traveleatlove’s blog yesterday! I’d never won a giveaway before that. For some reason, I don’t tend to have the giveaway numbers luck!

    I won a chance to meet Corey Haim when I was 13. He didn’t show up though. Probably off doing drugs somewhere….I was very excited when I won though!

    I seem to have good luck with winning things. I’m not sure the best thing I’ve won. Things are awesome, but my best prizes are my friends and family.

    Hmmm you know I’m not entirely sure I’ve ever won anything.. when I was like 7 I won a contest in a magazine and got to be in there, so that was pretty cool athough there wasn’t a prize haha.

    I’ve won a few things over the years … tickets to a Def Leppard/Journey concert chief among them. But the best thing I’ve probably ever won was dinner with a romance writer, since that’s my dream profession. It was a radio contest — I had to phone in and ID whether the passages the DJ was reading were from a children’s book or romance novel.

    I won playoff Detroit Red Wings tickets last season through a local radio station contest. My husband is the biggest Wings fan!! Needless to say he was ecstatic. So was I until the game went into triple overtime… a little too much scoreless hockey for me at that point!

    Love your breakfast! The best thing I won was a contest from Seventeen Magazine. I won a trip to NYC in a limo with that pop group called Soul Decision. We had lunch at this fancy restaurant and then I got to be on TRL. They opened for *NSync at the time so I got to sit in the 5th row and go backstage. I was obsessed with *Nsync and met Joey, Lance, and JC so it was the best day of my life haha.

    I can tell you what the WORST thing I won was – an “all expense paid” trip to Jamaica that wasn’t anywhere NEAR all expenses paid. Add in the delay in receiving the package, the blackout and deadline dates, and the taxes due… I returned it. My best thing I won is probably a nice coffee thermos at a race.

    When I was 4 years old, I won a care-bear at a movie premiere and I slept with that bear for years! haha! It was the birthday bear and he still sits on a shelf in my guest room today (24 years later…haha)

    I wanted to tell you too, that I bought my first pomegranate because you’re posts have inspired me. But now I am not sure how to open it. I am going to do some digging around because I am sure you have directions posted somewhere! haha!

    in 1999 i won an insane contest – it was sponsored by rolling stone and durex condoms and required you to make a “sexy music mix.” somehow i won and got to go to the mtv video music awards, plus they gave me a year’s supply of condoms !!!
