Happy Monday!
I mailed my signed book contract this morning! Ahhhhhh!

It’s official! I’m writing a BOOK!!! Holy crap! The first draft is due April 1, which seems SO SOON, doesn’t it? Time to get down to business! For real!
After a quickie workout at the gym, I made breakfast (banana oats with PB) and headed straight to the cafe down the street to get to work. I sipped on a Snickerdoodle coffee while I typed away.

I’ll probably work until lunchtime and then head home for a mini break before busting out some more writing this afternoon. My goal is to send my editor the first 2 chapters of my book today.

Question of the Day
After last night, I am full of holiday cheer! I love this time of year for so many reasons, including being able to give back to others in any way that I can.
I love this little tip from Lola magazine for giving back:
“During the holiday shopping season, whenever you receive coins for change, put them straight in your coat pocket. That way, every time you pass a bell ringer, you can make a quick and easy donation.”
I LOVE this idea! I’ve already done it once since reading this tip!
How do you give back during the holiday season?

And a motivational quote for the day: “Always do what you are afraid to do.”

Last week I did something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do. I helped clean up at a holiday event where there was tons of extra food. There was no one to take home the leftovers and no way I could use them all myself. So I packed it all into bags and drove around until I spotted a homeless man and his adorable dog sitting in the cold. I approached him (in a well-lit area busy with other people to be safe!) and asked if he would like any food. When he said “I would love some darlin’” and I handed over the food…i was the happiest i’d been that entire week. I teared up as I drove away and saw him feeding his dog a sandwich.
Woo! Congratulations! That’s so exciting!
Congrats on sending that away!! So exciting, I will be buying the book for sure. I think it will be great for working with girls with self esteem issues!!
I try to “pay it forward” pay for the person’s coffee after me, help someone with their groceries, let someone in the line ahead of me…. Any random acts of kindess!!
Thanks for your fabulous blog!!
