MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!
I’m so happy that it’s finally Christmas! I’ve had a great day so far, and I hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas, too!
Thanks to Google, I’m using Logan’s WiFi for free! What a nice holiday gift from the Google folks. Perfect for a traveling blogger!

My Christmas morning started with a small breakfast and opening Christmas gifts with Mal’s step-mom and her side of the family. (We’ll celebrate Christmas with Mal’s dad and his family in Oregon.)

Looks like Santa visited!

Before opening presents, I snacked on a small piece of coffeecake and a mug of coffee with eggnog.

Mal and I received so many fabulous gifts from our family memebers. It was fun opening each and every one!

I was especially excited about the $20 that I won on a scratch ticket. I never win on these things!

After opening presents at Funny Farm, we headed to my mom’s house to have Christmas morning with her.

Santa visited her house, too!

Don’t you just love Mal’s “fancy” Christmas stocking? I can’t remember who created this electrical tape masterpiece. It was probably him.

Mal loved the gift card from J.Crew that Santa gave him. My husband definitely has a J.Crew “problem.”

Murphy loved his new elf costume. What a cutie!

While we opened presents, I snacked on some peanut M&M’s.

And then a cinnamon roll with frosting. Holy Christmas morning sugar rush!

I loved seeing the Christmas tree at my mom’s house. The ornaments brought back so many wonderful memories.

Grey and Honey were our cats growing up.

Me on my first day of kindergarden.

My first Christmas ornament.

At my mom’s home, I stumbled upon this beauty: my 5th grade school photo.
Perm + flowery mustard shirt (with top button buttoned) = not cool ever.

After celebrating two Christmases in just as many hours, Mal and I headed back to our apartment and then to the airport.
At the airport, I made sure to snap a photo with the big Dunkin Donuts cup like I did back in July. I looked a lot warmer then! (I’ve decided that I’m not a fan of bangs on me.
)

Like usual, Mal and I arrived at the airport with ridiculous amounts of time to relax before our flight, so we enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Jerry Remy’s.

We ate at the exact same restaurant and even the exact same table as we did when we traveled to Charlotte this past summer.

For lunch, I ordered the chili, which was served with tons of tortilla chips.

It was pretty good for airport chili; I ate the whole thing. Delish!

Mal and I whizzed through security in record time. Love that!
For some reason, I really don’t like taking my shoes off to go through security, but pug socks make the experience a little bit better. (I miss Murphy SO much already!
)

While making our way through security, Mal and I made a Dunkin’ Donuts bet. He thought that a D&D was located inside the gate, but I didn’t think there was one inside.
Mal won the bet and, of course, gloated.

A lot.

Now, we’re sipping our iced coffees and waiting for our flight to San Francisco. We have a 1.5 hour layover there, so we plan to grab dinner in the airport before catching our second flight to Medford. It’s going to be a long day of travel.

See ya from the West coast!

1. Congrats on the $20
2. A JCrew problem is the best problem! Possibly the most expensive, but worth it!
3. You rocked the perm.

Murphy is such a doll in that little outfit! Precious!
So awesome seeing all the fun stuff you have done today! We have had an amazing day. PS. my family loves both your families. I’ve know your step-mom-in-law since I was a baby, and my brother mows your father-in-laws yard when they isn’t snow! My mom knows your mom and aunt too! Have a very merry christmas! Also have a wonderful new year! =]

I have the same baby’s first Christmas ornament!! Funny to see it on someone else’s tree.
Your traveling Christmas sounds as crazy as mine was last year! Fun though. I can identify with your husband’s J.Crew “problem” – maybe there needs to be a support group for that – with fundraisers!
Merry christmas!!

We’re pretty fogged in, here in Medford. I hope they are seeding at the airport so you have a clear patch to land. Merry Christmas!

OK, I LOVE the perm and flowery mustard shirt. Hahaha hilarious.

that old photo is hilarious! I definitley have a few of those lying around
Can you please ask your husband if he knows of any UVM current or graduated students who also have “problems” with J.Crew? Because I have a J.Crew “problem” and would love a male escort to the basement parties in Burlington and J.Crew on Church Street.
Love,
Homegirl
