The Chef Has Been Revived

I was on “morning duty” today, so Murphy and I were wide-awake by 7:00 this morning. We let Dad sleep until almost 8:00 before waking him up with a glass of iced coffee. After just a few sips, the chef was revived! :-D

After eating a less-than-stellar pancake breakfast yesterday morning, Mal offered to cook his scrumptious cake-like pancakes for Sunday’s breakfast. So, this morning, he whipped out the Griddler, mixed-up some batter, and got busy making his special pancakes in the kitchen.

Best husband ever!

Mal’s pancakes turned out soft, thick, and cake-y. Holy yum! :-D

I topped mine with leftover Pomegranate Apple Crisp and agave nectar. Serious yum!!!

I’m spending the morning writing my Health post and catching up with blog stuff– I have something fun planned for December! ;-)

Enjoy the day, guys!

Sunday is pancake day in our house too, and my husband is also the designated pancake-maker — it’s the only thing he can cook! :)

I never thought of agave for pancakes but it sounds interesting. That might be on the agenda for today’s pancakes.

My husband and I share “morning duty” on the weekends, too! I love the picture with Murphy. It reminds me of ME letting our pug/beagle mix wake up her daddy in the mornings. :)
