Productive

My day can be summed up in just one word: productive!

After the second half of our NuVal team meeting this morning, I dominated my To Do list, crossing things off left and right. I even got a head start on my packing for the Foodbuzz Festival this weekend… and you know how much I love packing. ;-)

While tackling my To Do list, I worked up quite an appetite for lunch, so I threw together a quick PB & J + banana.

Actually, my sandwich wasn’t your ordinary PB + J. The ‘J’ part was Crofter’s North America Superfruit Spread, which the company sent me to sample for free. The North America flavor is wild cranberries and blueberries blended with red grapes and morello cherries.

Yum!!! I liked this spread a lot! It basically tasted like mashed up berries and not super sweet like typical jams.

I also had time to frame my newest motivational quote from Real Simple magazine:

Stop talking yourself out of the life you want most.

I did this at least two dozen times before making a move to make myself happy. Change is scary, but why not do something to create the life you want? It definitely wasn’t easy, but I’m glad that I didn’t talk myself out of changing my life.

I love that quote. Believing that you deserve and can have the life you dream of is so important- and I have come to see that personally as I figure out my next step. I know what I want but I let other voices in and start to second guess myself. No more now! I’m sticking to that quote! Thanks for the inspiration. :)

I was watching them talk about the Kellog’s claim debate on the Today show. I think it’s silly that they would make such a claim, but in truth they have all the right to since the vitamins do help boost immunity. It’s just not going to really matter in cereal

That is the best quote. I need that right now as well. I am graduating with a major that truly doesn’t make me happy. I have had mixed opinions about my decision to not pursue that career and to the people who don’t agree, I have to say it’s not their life! I have to live my life, not them. They don’t know how much stress I feel daily in my internship, and how unhappy it makes me. I know what would make me happy. I have stop letting them talk me out of the life I want, and I need to stop as well! Thank you!

I’ve got the productivity bug today too! I just got home from a business trip this morning and didn’t have to go into work. That left me with time to go grocery shopping (TJ’s and Whole Foods!), do laundry, go to the gym and cook dinner. I’m pretty thrilled. :)
