Glued to My Laptop

After breakfast, I spent the rest of the morning glued to my laptop. I actually accomplished quite a bit in a short amount of time, which actually surprised me. Usually, I am easily distracted!

Mal had some grading to do for school, so he suggested that we work together at Cafe Arpeggio right down the street. I was all about getting out of the house and having a mini brain break, so I packed-up my laptop and walked over with him.

I sipped on a Snickerdoodle coffee while I worked. It was delish! I also busted out my Health post in no time!

After working diligently for almost 2 hours, Mal and I headed home for lunch, which included:

Carrots sticks and a pickle:

Half of a ham and Dubliner cheese sandwich on Nature’s Pride bread:

And Sweet Potato and Taro chips on the side.

A little while later, I craved something sweet, so I spread peanut butter on a piece of Sprouted Cinnamon Raisin Bread. It hit the spot. :-D

Oldies, but Goodies

I love stumbling across old blog posts that I’ve written. Usually, I forget all about them until I see them again, and then the memories come rushing back. Each time, it’s like a trip down memory lane.

Here are a few oldies, but goodies:

We’re having friends over to watch the Pats game this afternoon, so I’m thinking about baking a treat (perhaps some cookies?) for our guests. I wonder if I can throw together something delicious with what we have in the house? I always love a challenge! ;-)

Whenever I see pickles on someone’s blog, I’m reminded about how much I love them! Why don’t I buy them!?

Arpeggio looks so cute. My sister lives in Southie (near East 6th/L Street) and I’m always on the lookout for new places to visit!

Thanks for posting the old links – I love the christmas wrapping idea! I tried to wrap gifts in paper grocery bags a couple of years ago and it was kind of difficult – I think they’re a little too thick. But the store shopping bags, I think, would work much better!

The great thing about cookies is that you can make them out of anything!

Um does finishing New Moon count as productive? If so I was insanely productive today ;)

Isn’t it wonderful when you’re in the zone and can just crank out a ton of work? I’m needing some of that motivation right now for grad school apps!

My favorite posts of yours are when you go out to restaurants or out on the town. I live in Boston and I’ve found quite a few restaurants I’d never heard of from your blog. I also just like seeing what people order…is that weird?
