Lunch Scored High

When I walked into my 12:00 meeting this afternoon, a delicious surprise was waiting: a healthy lunch spread from Whole Foods!

There was a wonderful variety of nutritious foods: salad greens, raw veggies, bean and edamame salads, noodles, meats, cheeses, and whole grain bread. I was impressed! The folks at NuVal know how to eat!

My plate:

The big slab that looks like butter is actually cheddar cheese. I guess it didn’t photograph well! :-?

To drink, I had a small glass of blood orange-flavored Italian Soda. So good!

And, of course, no meal is complete without a sweet treat. I dug right into the Cherries & Almond in Dark Chocolate bar. I wasn’t shy about it! ;-)

Heavenly!

The second half of “lunch” was an apple and a Renew Glo Bar, which is easily my favorite flavor! I love the chewiness and chia seeds!

If you’re curious about my new space at NuVal… here it is! My workspace is part of a foursome of cubicles in the front of the office.

I think the only thing missing from my desk is a photo of Murphy! ;-)

If you’re on Twitter, you can follow me at NuVal, too!

Check out Carrots ‘N’ Cake on the Open Sky Blog! :-D

Not sure what’s on the agenda for my Friday night (besides a glass of wine)!

Happy weekend, bloggies!

What a great spread! I love it when companies actually provide ‘healthy’ options versus just the lazy pizza and subs. Was that edamame succotash? If so, I love that dish! Nice new work space :)

Mmmmm love blood orange soda! That was my favorite drink in Italy, can you imagine..they served it in the vending machines on the college campus we worked at! They also had espresso vending machines but that’s another story. :) That lunch looks incredible as well, I want to find an office to work at that eats that for lunch. ;) yum yum yum!

NuVal needs to go teach my company a thing or two! :P Free lunches, without fail, are take-out pizza and potato chips.

I love that you have great food and all of it isn’t boring. Shows that food can be fun but doesn’t need to be super duper healthy all the time.
