Glorious Muffins
It was the perfect morning to sleep late and lounge around. It’s been raining pretty hard all morning, so Mal and I weren’t in any rush to get going.
Around 10:00 AM, our stomachs finally started to grumble, so we headed to the Ocean Breeze Cafe for breakfast.

The menu at the Ocean Breeze Cafe is pretty extensive. They serve a range of traditional breakfast items as well as the most glorious muffins!

There are so many yummy flavors to chose from! It’s always a tough decision for me.

I seriously wait all year long for an Ocean Breeze Cafe muffin. It’s actually one of the highlights of my trip to Newport!
Not surprisingly, I picked the exact same muffin as I did last year: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip.

Holy yum! The muffin was practically as big as my head!

On the side, I had a fresh fruit cup with strawberries, blueberries, and cantaloupe.

And pumpkin spice coffee with cream and sugar.

I dominated the muffin! I barely left a crumb!

Mal and I are spending the next hour or so doing work (blah), but then we are headed to the Taste of Rhode Island for lunch. I’m looking forward to it!

Kind of have a pumpkin theme going there! The flowers outside the shop are so beautiful still! My flowers in my front yard beds are slowly starting to fade…guess the autumn is really upon us! Enjoy your lazy, rainy day!

Mmm – pumpkin muffins. I made some from scratch last weekend – I should have added chocolate chips like yours had. …Enjoy your weekend. My hubby & I just got back from a getaway. We stayed at Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island, Georgia. It was fabulous – you & Mal should check it out sometime!
