Chili + Football

October 11, 2009

Ugh, I ate so much today! :-? All of it was delicious food, but now I am stuffed!

Around 1:00 this afternoon, Mal got to work in the kitchen making his Chili for a Crowd.

The Real Simple recipe is so easy to make!

While Mal cooked, I drank beers and entertained our guests. ;-)

Before the main course, there were so many appetizers to choose from. I chowed down!

The pizza dip that my sister made was amazing! I loved the baked cheese on top!

More snacks!

Murphy played hard at the dog park this morning, so he napped during the first part of the football game.

At one point, he ended up like this in my sister’s fiancé’s lap:

I’m not sure how comfortable he was, but eventually, Murphy woke up and watched the game with us.

The Red Sox were on TV this afternoon too. So, of course, we needed two TVs to watch both sports games.

To go with Mal’s chili, I baked some corn bread.

I filled up on appetizers, so I only ate a small portion of chili, but it was SO GOOD! :-D

It’s not even 8:00, but I’m exhausted from the day. Too much food and beer! I’m in a carb coma!

Enjoy the evening, bloggies!

The chili and cornbread looks delish! I’m feeling that this week because it is supposed to be 48 degrees in Pittsburgh!

The next time I make chili, I am definitely going to try this recipe. Hearty food hits the spot during cooler autumn weather.

It was a good game, huge out here in Denver, as you can imagine….

Food looks super tasty. Murphy of course gets cuter everytime you share pics with your readers.

A friend of mine made pizza dip for my bachelorette party last year. It was the first I’d ever heard of it! I may have to make that sometime this fall for when my husband has his friends over for a Wii party! :) I’d have to make a single serving for me otherwise I’d go crazy on it!! ;)

Awww sad day to be a New England fan but at least the food and company was good.

I love the goofy positions dogs get into while sleeping. I never understand how they are comfortable but they sure sleep well.

Sarah October 12, 2009 at 9:16 am

Aww, I love doggie naps. My dog sleeps during EVERYTHING and she usually ends up in weird positions too. Dogs are so funny :)
