Look who I had lunch with today! Janet from Pretty Green Girl!
Janet is on vaca in Boston for a few days before heading to London (!!!) for her new job! She was so friendly and sweet in person, and we had lots to talk about– including funny stories about horrible first dates! We both had our fair share!
I’m so glad that I had a chance to meet Janet this afternoon! And I get to see her again next weekend in San Fran!
When Janet asked if I wanted to get together for lunch, I knew just the place to take her: Crema Cafe, which is one of my favorite places in Harvard Square!
Of course, it was bumpin’ like it always is!
For lunch, I ordered the beet salad. I’ve been on a real beet kick lately! I love ‘em!
Janet and I both ordered Crema’s infamous Ginger Lemonade. I’ve raved about it so many times on my blog, Janet really wanted to try it. I think she liked it a lot!
I have more moving on the agenda for tonight, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel! I have tomorrow off from work, so my weekend has begun!

I had so much fun! Thanks for making the time to meet up with me and introducing me to one of your favorite places – my sandwich and ginger lemonade were awesome! Enjoy your day off tomorrow!
(PS: Despite how I look in that picture, I was not drunk, ha!)
I had beets that were drowned in some orange sauce last night and they were delicious. That ginger lemonade I admit sounds great
Jealous of your three day weekend, enjoy it!
I have to admit that I’ve never tried a beet before, for some reason they kind of scare me! But maybe I should be adventerous and try
Have a wonderful evening, good luck with the unpacking.
So great to meet up with friends for lunch – old and new!
Ginger lemonade sounds delish!
Wow – you lucky duck, get a three day weekend! Now, don’t spend it unpacking. You and Mal, and Murph need to kick back at least one night and relax!
Sorry!! Don’t spend it ALL unpacking!
beets are the best! have a wonderful weekend….
hey tina,
I have a research conference coming up soon and have an abstract brewing on my blog but would love your input as well as anyone interested on how to make it better. If you or anyone who is interested in women and nutrition (everyone) don’t mind just stopping by my blog to give your opinion it would be greatly appreciated!
Glad you had a nice lunch. It is always fun to meet blogging friends in real life. I will be in SF next weekend! I can’t wait for the conference. I look forward to meeting you. I have tomorrow off too! Yahoo!!
Oooh yum!
Maybe I missed this, but are you doing a blogger meetup in SF?
Beets are one thing I haven’t yet acquired a taste for. Although, two years ago I wouldn’t go near a shroom, and now I’m shroom-sessed, so maybe there’s hope
I’ve been craving ginger lemonade lately – particularly after I’ve gone running, weird! Enjoy the day off tomorrow
I’m with Sarah… I do not like beets! But what a fun lunch date!!
Lunch looks yummy – beets are so good! I saw a recent article on spices and they suggested adding ginger to lemondade to “jazz” it up… glad to hear it turns out well!
Enjoy the weekend! So lucky you are going to SFO next week! We went a couple of weeks ago and loved it.
Awesome that you got to meet up with another blogger too. I loved meeting everyone at the summit!
Are you doing a blogger meet-up in SF? My girlfriend and I (avid readers of your blog) would love to meet-up with you! Please let us know!
The salad looks delicious. Beets (we call them beetroot!) are delicious roasted in their skins with a little olive oil, cooled, peel (the skins slip off) and then used in salads. They’re so sweet!
Aw, cute! I love girl lunches!
I have literally never had a beet before but I think it’s about time I introduced it into my life!
That salad looks especially good! Best of luck with the moving. You’ll be so relieved when everything’s settled.
what a cute lunch spot! you always find the best restaurants!! have a fun day off of work tomorrow!
jenna
I think we’d ALL like to try that ginger lemonade, Tina ; ) Haha, sounds very good.
I love beets! Roasted in the oven with potatoes tossed in maple mustard glaze is DELICIOUS
I gotta put Crema Cafe on my list of places to try. That ginger lemonade looks so refreshing and I love a salad with beets! Good luck with the rest of your move. BTW, have you ever tried roasting your own beets?
How fun to meet other bloggers. The only bloggers I’ve met are people who were already my friends
You rave about Crema that I want to find it when I take my next trip out to your end of the state.
Once I get back to Boston, I NEED to go to Crema and try that lemonade. It sounds too yummy!
