I love dried peas! My absolute favorite though is Indian chana masala-a classic Indian dish

The only way I ever ate lentils until I moved out of my parent’s place was in a dish my mother used to make. She would make a stew with lentils, bacon and pieces of sausage and serve it with rice and a fried egg on top of the lentils. I know it doesn’t sound very nutritious but it was DELICIOUS. I actually thought it was the only way of eating lentils before!
Homemade samosas with red lentils, sweet potatoes, and a mint/cilantro chutney are the best!

Lentils and peas are a wonderful protein that is healthy for our bodies. So easy to prepare and so much variety of recipes can be used. You can never get bored with them. Yum!!!
