Blogger Road Trippin’

July 11, 2009

Hi, blog friends! I’ve had quite the Saturday so far– including a sweaty workout at the Y, followed by the most delicious KERF-made lunch, which I ate on our 3-hour drive down to Charleston.

Lunch was seriously awesome! Kath knows how to pack a great lunch! We had a whole slew of yummy foods: sandwiches, fruit, chips, and dessert! :-D

Our sandwiches included sliced turkey, jalapeno jack cheese, zucchini, green peppers, jalapenos, and a scrumptious grainy mustard from Dean & Deluca on a High 5 Fiber bun from Great Harvest.

Packed and ready to go!

Kath also packed us some fresh watermelon and blueberries as well as some Popchips for lunch.

The watermelon was super juicy! It was pretty mixed with the blueberries too!

Everything was so yummy! I loved the sesame and flax seeds in the High 5 bread!

I loved the Popchips too!

As expected, dessert was my favorite part of the meal. From Great Harvest, Matt brought a big ol’ Blondie and a Turtle Bar for all of us to share.

I had ate 2 good-size bites of each one. So good!

I love packed lunches :-) It reminds me of elementary school field trips. Those blondies and brownies look so good! I’m jealous, hehe.

I just read Kath’s blog and had to run over here to see your take on it. I loved the pic of you two blogging. So fun to see two of my favorite bloggers in the same place.

BTW I love the lunch. Reminds me of the fun I’ve been trying to include in my sandwiches and salads because of you two lovely ladies.

What’re the sandwiches wrapped in? I always resort to tinfoil but the stuff Kath used looks interesting as well…

And again, Kath should seriously open up a B&B! Glad you guys had such blast! :)
