Blog Event at Vinalia

July 18, 2009

I really didn’t plan to stay out so late this evening. Guys, it’s WAY past my bedtime!! But, staying out late tonight was totally worth it: I met lots of wonderful readers and fellow bloggers at Vinalia.

Before heading to the blog event, Mal and I met at Sonsie for a happy hour cocktail. People watching at Sonsie never gets old for me! ;-)

For dinner, Mal and I met Kath, Larbs, Lauren, and Matt X 2 at b.good on Newbury Street.

I ordered the Sesame Ginger salad, which was mesclun, carrots, jicama, edamame, sesame seeds, and sesame sticks with orange-soy dressing on the side.

After dinner, we headed to Vinalia for the blog meet-up, which was a fantastic time! We had a group of 22 ladies!

I sipped on a couple of glasses of Chardonnay over the course of the evening.

Glass #1:

The food looked delicious, but I didn’t eat much because I was too busy chatting away with old and new friends!

I did, however, manage to squeeze in a few bites of cheesy wanton nachos!

There was LOTS of talking tonight!

My second glass of wine:

And, of course, we ended the evening with a group photo!

Thanks to everyone who came tonight! It was wonderful to meet you all, and I can’t wait to get together again soon– some of you I will see at the Healthy Living Summit in just a few weeks! :-D

I went to that b.good location after I finished the Boston Marathon in April – I got a BBQ chicken sandwich and a chocolate milkshake. Mmm, so good! Have a great weekend!

Yum that salad looks great. I’ve never had big chunks of jicama like that, only shredded in slaw.
