1st Wedding Anniversary Recap: Part 2

Our wedding ceremony took place in our hometown at our church. Both of our families have belonged to this same parish for as long as we can both remember.

Our families actually sit on opposite sides of the church, so during the ceremony, our priest joked that he was marrying the Montagues and Capulets!

We had beautiful, sunny weather on our wedding day, but it was 85 degrees and humid, which probably doesn’t sound that bad… unless you are sitting through a full Catholic Nuptial Mass in a church that does not have air conditioning! Even still, the ceremony felt like it totally flew by!

Happy Anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. At the risk of sounding sappy and slightly creepy, your wedding and honeymoon posts were the first food blog posts I ever showed Mark and one reason we started the blog. :D

    Awww you looked gorgeous!!!!

Totally weird question – for some reason I always assumed Mal was European of some sort (British or Irish) – am I crazy? I think it’s a bit of how he looks, but mostly that he is always so smiley and cheerful – I feel like European men seem to do this more than American men!

@MarathonVal: Mal’s mother was French, but he was born and raised in the US. He’s just a happy guy! He’s also super friendly– he’ll talk to anyone!
