Iced Coffee Addiction

When the warm weather rolls around, I cannot get enough iced coffee in my life! Man, it’s GOOD! I even dream about the stuff! It’s such a weird-o addiction!

Besides a delicious glass of iced coffee with vanilla soy milk and agave nectar, I also had a lovely bowl of oats for breakfast.

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup dry oats
  • 3/4 cup vanilla hemp milk
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed meals
  • 1 banana
  • Barney Butter

Quirky Weight Loss Motivators

I saw an interesting topic over on the Feel Great Weight forum about quirky weight loss motivators, like “bet dieting” and services that deduct money from your bank account if you don’t meet certain goals. What other quirky weight loss motivators have you heard of? Weigh-in over at the Feel Great Weight forum

Busy Day Ahead

I have today off from my full-time job, but, once again, it’s not going to be a true day off. Check out this packed schedule:

  • 9:30 AM: Give back Holter monitor! Yay!
  • 10:00 AM: Meet with hotel guy to check out space for the Healthy Living Summit
  • 12:00 PM: Meet friends for lunch
  • 1:30 PM: Get some blog stuff done!
  • 3:00 PM: Physical therapy appointment
  • 5:00 PM: Workout, make dinner, etc.

Question of the Day

What food(s) are you “addicted” to?

Hey Tina! I love love iced coffee too! I think the homemade variety is best :) I’m also a fruit addict (especially apples) and veggies (I miss the crunch if I don’t have them!!) Other than that I can get out of control with granola and dried fruit…so I try to keep them out of the house when I can or really monitor myself. Enjoy your day “off”.

I loooove iced coffee! When I lived in New Hampshire, I passed 3 Dunkin Donuts on my way to work every day – and I lived in the boonies! It was impossible not to stop at one of the 3 on my way to work in the summer.

I’m addicted to oats and bananas! Well, I guess I’m addicted to fruit in general, but bananas are defintely my fave.

I am definitely addicted to Diet Pepsi. I currently drink an average of four cans a day!!! I don’t think that Diet Pepsi in moderation will hurt me, but I do think this a little excessive. But I feel like I’m working so hard in so many areas (like losing weight, avoiding eating too much chocolate, food journaling, exercising, etc) that I can’t tackle this one at the same time.

I love iced coffee. In the summer my boyfriend and I switch completely over to iced. We use the toddy system which is pretty good, but it makes a lot of coffee at one time! I drink almost the exact concoction as you, sans agave.

I am addicted to cereal and peanut butter…but then again what girl isn’t? haha. I usually consume a whole jar of peanut butter a week. I try reallllllllly hard to not just eat it out of the jar, but hey, I cannot help it if while I am spreading some PB on my toast, a spoonful just happens to appear in my mouth.
