Iced Coffee Addiction

June 9, 2009

When the warm weather rolls around, I cannot get enough iced coffee in my life! Man, it’s GOOD! I even dream about the stuff! It’s such a weird-o addiction!

Besides a delicious glass of iced coffee with vanilla soy milk and agave nectar, I also had a lovely bowl of oats for breakfast.

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup dry oats
  • 3/4 cup vanilla hemp milk
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed meals
  • 1 banana
  • Barney Butter

Quirky Weight Loss Motivators

I saw an interesting topic over on the Feel Great Weight forum about quirky weight loss motivators, like “bet dieting” and services that deduct money from your bank account if you don’t meet certain goals. What other quirky weight loss motivators have you heard of? Busy Day Ahead

I have today off from my full-time job, but, once again, it’s not going to be a true day off. Check out this packed schedule:

  • 9:30 AM: Give back Holter monitor! Yay!
  • 10:00 AM: Meet with hotel guy to check out space for the Healthy Living Summit
  • 12:00 PM: Meet friends for lunch
  • 1:30 PM: Get some blog stuff done!
  • 3:00 PM: Physical therapy appointment
  • 5:00 PM: Workout, make dinner, etc.

Question of the Day

What food(s) are you “addicted” to?

Iced coffee is so not a weird addiction! :-) I LOVE it too! Yum!

Great looking breakfast!

hmmm addictions right now: frozen yogurt and ice cream of any kind and cinnamon raisin bagels. things often change though and I will be addicted to something else for a few weeks. haha

Your “day off” is super packed!! :-) I personally prefer it. I am not a sit-still kind of person.

Have a wonderful day Tina!

I’m addicted to green tea and cinnamon. Not necessarily in combination, but I have to say, green tea chai is amazing. I’m obsessed with any type of green tea, and I’m always on the lookout for new flavors. My current fave is Stash Goji Green Tea. And cinnamon just makes everything better!

I’m completely addicted to peanut butter! I’ve finally realized how much happier I can be (and how much less I binge) when I find a way to work a nut butter into my meals every day. Finally! :)

I am addicted to my new jar of raw almond butter from Trader Joe’s! I don’t know why, but it’s grainer and more almond-y than any other jar I have had of the stuff and I seriously love it. I only use a tiny bit at a time…and that’s restraint!

I’d say I’m addicted to fro yo as well…but I don’t think I am. I just REALLY like it :-)

I’m addited to chocolate, baked goods, Barney Butter (I know you’re with me on that one!) and nuts.
I need to find some new diet motivators – I’m been out of control lately.
Hey, when you have a minute, check out my Holey Donuts giveway. The stuff is gooood :)

Anything crunchy and usually carby. I think that means I have extra stress to release by chomping (read that somewhere…hmm). But I’ve been substituting my pita chip noms with homemade air popped popcorn, although I feel nauseous after eating a huge bowl. Probably because it’s huge hahah but in all seriousness, popcorn in general shouldn’t make someone feel this way 0_0!
