Iced Coffee Addiction
When the warm weather rolls around, I cannot get enough iced coffee in my life! Man, it’s GOOD! I even dream about the stuff! It’s such a weird-o addiction!
Besides a delicious glass of iced coffee with vanilla soy milk and agave nectar, I also had a lovely bowl of oats for breakfast.
In the mix:
- 1/2 cup dry oats
- 3/4 cup vanilla hemp milk
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed meals
- 1 banana
- Barney Butter
Quirky Weight Loss Motivators
I saw an interesting topic over on the Feel Great Weight forum about quirky weight loss motivators, like “bet dieting” and services that deduct money from your bank account if you don’t meet certain goals. What other quirky weight loss motivators have you heard of? Weigh-in over at the Feel Great Weight forum.

I love iced coffee too, but I only drink it on the weekends.
I cannot get enough of PB and bananas!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 7:46 am
PB, I eat it EVERYDAY!!!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 7:47 am
I cannot get enough tomatoes! If I don’t have a dish with tomatoes in it atleast a few times a week I go nuts!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 7:52 am
I am definately addicted to Diet Coke (even though it’s not a food….) and watermelon! My husband won’t eat it, but I have been going through a whole (large size!) watermelon a week! I love when fruit is in season here in Michigan!!!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 7:55 am
Hey Tina! I love love iced coffee too! I think the homemade variety is best
I’m also a fruit addict (especially apples) and veggies (I miss the crunch if I don’t have them!!) Other than that I can get out of control with granola and dried fruit…so I try to keep them out of the house when I can or really monitor myself. Enjoy your day “off”.
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 7:59 am
I loooove iced coffee! When I lived in New Hampshire, I passed 3 Dunkin Donuts on my way to work every day – and I lived in the boonies! It was impossible not to stop at one of the 3 on my way to work in the summer.
I’m addicted to oats and bananas! Well, I guess I’m addicted to fruit in general, but bananas are defintely my fave.
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:04 am
OMG your iced coffee looks delightful!!!!! mmmmmm!

Coffee is definitely a requirement in my life. You were my inspiration for an iced coffee with cinnamon yesterday afternoon. I liked it a lot!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:15 am
i’ve never made iced coffee at home but yours seriously always makes me crave it! My addiction bread, sadly!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:15 am
Well, one food that I just couldn’t stop eating is cheese! I’m from Wisconsin, what can I say?
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:16 am
I’m addicted to coffee and eggs. Absolutely!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:19 am
I am definitely addicted to Diet Pepsi. I currently drink an average of four cans a day!!! I don’t think that Diet Pepsi in moderation will hurt me, but I do think this a little excessive. But I feel like I’m working so hard in so many areas (like losing weight, avoiding eating too much chocolate, food journaling, exercising, etc) that I can’t tackle this one at the same time.
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:25 am
I love iced coffee. In the summer my boyfriend and I switch completely over to iced. We use the toddy system which is pretty good, but it makes a lot of coffee at one time! I drink almost the exact concoction as you, sans agave.
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:27 am
I am addicted to cereal and peanut butter…but then again what girl isn’t? haha. I usually consume a whole jar of peanut butter a week. I try reallllllllly hard to not just eat it out of the jar, but hey, I cannot help it if while I am spreading some PB on my toast, a spoonful just happens to appear in my mouth.
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:28 am
I love having smoothies in the summer! So cool and refreshing!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:28 am
I love, love, love tomatoes! I can’t wait for the ones in my garden to be ready to eat!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:32 am
Coffee. Hands down. And yesterday my doctor told me to cut back because I have a mild ulcer. Noooooooooooooooo!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:34 am
Iced coffee is my addiction too. During the winter months, I can go without coffee except for the occasional hot cup.
But in the summer? I love my iced coffees too much!
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:35 am
I’m addicted to iced coffee too, but besides that I am addicted to fruit as well! I go through like three pints of berries a day haha.
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 8:36 am
I would definitely say that I’m addicted to nut butters, banana, and greek yogurt. If I go only one or two days without any of these, I feel deprived!

First of all, good riddance (on that weird contraption thing you’ve had to wear. …How did you sleep with that one?)
Also, I will admit chips/crackers/popcorn/snacky salty things like this are my downfall.

I am addicted to my new jar of raw almond butter from Trader Joe’s! I don’t know why, but it’s grainer and more almond-y than any other jar I have had of the stuff and I seriously love it. I only use a tiny bit at a time…and that’s restraint!
I’d say I’m addicted to fro yo as well…but I don’t think I am. I just REALLY like it
on Jun 9th, 2009 at 1:29 pm

Anything crunchy and usually carby. I think that means I have extra stress to release by chomping (read that somewhere…hmm). But I’ve been substituting my pita chip noms with homemade air popped popcorn, although I feel nauseous after eating a huge bowl. Probably because it’s huge hahah but in all seriousness, popcorn in general shouldn’t make someone feel this way 0_0!
on Jun 10th, 2009 at 12:17 am
Totally addicted to herbal tea, GoLean cereal, cottage cheese, and hummus.
