My father-in-law turned 64-years-young today. Happy birthday, Garner!!!
We’ve been eating out so much, we decided to celebrate with a low-key dinner at Sibylle’s condo, which was an excellent way to spend the evening. It was so nice to just chill with family.
We started with a cocktail hour and appetizers: cheese & crackers and hummus & cucumbers.
We toasted to the birthday boy with a round of white wine.
This was a delicious wine!
For dinner, we ate pork chops with oven-roasted broccoli and salad with tomatoes, cucumber, and avocado.
Sib continued her 30th birthday celebration with a bottle of her 1979 birth year wine.
My plate…
Like the French, we finished the meal with salad.
I enjoyed a glass of Sib’s birth year wine with dinner. It was smooth and had a strong cherry flavor to it.
And, of course, dinner concluded with leftover birthday cake. I’ve eaten SO MUCH birthday cake in the last few days! I’m not complaining, but some exercise is definitely on my agenda for when I get back from vacation!
Mal and I are off to Victoria bright and early. See ya from Canada! 😎
