Wrap It Up

May 27, 2009

Good morning! It’s Wednesday, right? Happy Hump Day! 8-)

I woke up famished this morning! My alarm went off at 5:05, but I was much more interested in food than exercise. I thought about eating a small snack before the gym, but my hunger was much too intense for just a snack. I decided to skip the gym and eat breakfast super early.

I’m not sure if this is a good idea or bad idea? I generally eat on a schedule, so I have a feeling today’s meals are going to be a bit out of whack. I suppose it’ll be good practice for some intuitive eating! ;-) I’ll let ya know how it goes!

This morning’s meal was a (vegan) breakfast wrap of sorts. Inside was banana slices, pecans, raisins, pumpkin seeds, and peanut butter.

First, I smeared peanut butter on the wrap then topped with the other ingredients.

When I folded the wrap in half, I mushed the banana into the other ingredients to help “hold” them inside before cutting the wrap into more manageable triangles. Not a single pumpkin seed fell out!

Yummy breakfast! It’s funny how you can wake up famished on random mornings.
Good luck with the intuitive eating. I’m horrible at it.

Yummy looking wrap! I ate so early all last semester due to my schedule and found myself eating an extra snack between breakfast and lunch most of the time. But I was also usually last hungry at supper time. Most of the time anyways. :D

Happy Hump day!

Cool breakfast!

Your friend’s workshop looks great, too bad I don’t live up there! Limiting beliefs are what keep us unhappy, so any of you in the area should totally sign up and check out her workshop!

nice breakfast! I had a “different” breakfast this morning, too, so I’m waiting to see how it does compared to my normal ones :)

Great wrap! I like to put PB and banana on one and then grill it for a minute or so, sort of like a breakfast quesadilla! I think I got that idea from K ;-)

what a great breakfast idea! am interested to hear more how the intuition goes today…it’s definitely a learning curve filled with experiments! (I am new to the ‘intuitive eating’ thing and not finding it very easy!)

Sometimes I do this too…. throw my workout plans to the wind and eat NOW because I’m hungry. I’m not going to have a good workout if all I’m doing is thinking about my rumbling stomach. One of the perks of usually working out in the morning…. if you miss it, you still have the rest of the day to make it up!

What a great breakfast idea!
I think intuitive eating is the way to go because you really give your body what it needs.

Good luck,
Karina

What an awesome looking wrap!
I liked your tips for the bbq. I did something very similar on Monday and had fun, until we stayed way too late and all they had left for food was sausages which made me sick :( I think I’m packing “emergency” snacks with me next time :D
