Go-Go-Go

May 3, 2009

I’m not sure where the weekend went, but it’s going to end with a bang! After some yoga this morning, I am heading to a wedding shower out in the ‘burbs then coming back to Boston to meet up with some blog friends for dinner downtown. It’s definitely going to be one of those go-go-go type of days!

Breakfast this morning was a lovely combo of whole grains, nut butters, raisins, and fruit. Lots of good stuff! :-D

This particular meal was such a nice way to start the day with all of it’s different nutrients, flavors, textures, and colors. Mmmmm!

I added pecan butter and golden raisins to one slice of whole wheat toast, and walnut butter and regular raisins to the other. And, if you’re curious about what raisins are all about, here’s some interesting info from Whole Foods. Raisins are a pretty stellar food!

With iced coffee…

I’m off! Enjoy your Sunday!

I loooove golden raisins, especially in salads…

Do toast breakfasts keep you satisfied? I always feel like anything that isn’t oats will require a morning snack, but maybe I need to rethink that one.

I LOVE raisins! Especially after toasted in granola. They get really chewy and sweet. YUM.

Have a fabulous day!

the pb and raisins remind me of ants on a log — would this be ants on the ground? or at a picnic? (the bread is their square blanket!)

Raisins are a tricky snack choice for me. The problem is that I LOVE them. Always have. Perhaps tooooo much??? I can’t stop at a handful! You name it, cereal, TRAIL MIX (my fav food:P , I have to portion control them b/c they are def a lil higher in sugar!

Looks like it was a raisin & strawberry kind of morning – I had raisins in my kamut and strawberries on the side this morning as well :)
