Wake Up, Gear Up

April 25, 2009

Good morning! Happy Saturday!

Mal picked up a new bunch of daffodils for the house when he was at the Fruit Center yesterday. Flowers make me so happy! How can you not be happy around them, right? What’s your favorite kind of flower?

“Grandma” was in bed at 9:15 PM last night, so waking up naturally at 7:00 AM wasn’t that strange. And then I practically bounded-out of bed to make a bowl of oats.

In the mix:

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup wheatberries
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed meal
  • 1 tbsp hemp protein
  • Splash of vanilla hemp milk
  • Water
  • Peanut butter Puffins
  • Scoop of peanut butter

With iced coffee…

Check out the goodies that came in the mail for me yesterday: PETA’s Vegan College Cookbook, which is packed full of easy and delicious recipes. I’m excited to try a lot of them!

And I am now a proud owner of a “get zesty” t-shirt! :-D

I actually slept until almost 8am this morning, which is really late for me! Felt great. My favorite flowers are roses, especially floribunda.

This weekend we are going on a 30 mile bike ride to enjoy the beautiful NE weather!

I don’t think I actually have a favourite flower – I guess I just don’t get them often enough to have a preference!

I’m also waiting for that cookbook to show up on my doorstep. I’m really interested to see what’s inside.

I love orchids. White is my favorite color, so a white orchid would be my choice.
