I did the AM yoga on Comcast on Demand this morning and it was just what I was looking for. I wanted a good stretch, because I ran 4 miles last night and didn’t stretch well. It was a little over 20 minutes and I feel amazing!!

I feel like I can already sense an increase in flexibility because of the yoga practice. This is especially the case in my calf muscles. These usually felt tight the next day after a long run, but since I do my yoga session after the run, I think it really prevents that.

Oh boy, I did the 20 minute download of that on Sunday and REALLY felt it in my arms…

MY shoulders are much more sore than normal. I did the morning flow this morning, and I do think it was fairly invigorating… but it will never replace coffee.

Core Yoga is one of the better classes on YogaDownload, I agree!

Once again, I went back to the Gentle Hatha this morning! I love it! I feel like I’ve gotten the poses down, so now I am working on my breathing and clearing my mind, which is VERY difficult! I do feel that it’s more stretching than stregthening, and I kinda want something along the line of your description Tina, so maybe I’ll give that one a try!

I do my yoga in the evenings normally, so I can’t comment yet on today’s post, but I will say this: I have noticed a change in my arms. I have always had heavier arms, and yoga is helping me tone those areas. And I’ve only done yoga three times this week… it’s unbelievable.

YAY for Day 6! I can feel soreness in my arms – they don’t look any different, but it’s only a matter of time- I hope!
Jessica
I did gentle hatha yoga yesterday (didn’t have time to post) and core yoga today. It IS challenging!!!!
Heather McD (Heather Eats Almond Butter)
Yoga was challenging today. We did 2 minutes of handstand prep, and my arms and legs couldn’t take anymore. I had to just sit in Child’s Pose for a bit which I never do in the middle of class. I was proud of myself for taking a break – I don’t always listen to what my body needs.
I am already noticing changes in my arm strength and balance – so exiting! Have a good weekend.

I have Core Yoga #1 downloaded, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet…Maybe that will happen tonight!

Quick Question: I am looking for a new sportsbra for yoga, I want to make sure “the girls” do not fall out when I am in downward dog and let me tell you THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME AT YOGA CLASS! I was in downward dog and I glance at my chest and my boob was making an appearance! thank god it was all women that day and the restroom was a few feet away lol…so yea what bras do you guys use. I basically want something to strap me in. THANKS!
and I am looking fwd to unwind when I get home with a nice long yoga session.
Namaste….
Ashley
I am loving the yoga challenge! I’ve done the 20 minute lunar flow from yogadownload.com for the last two nights and it has been a perfect end to my day.
Today I was off from work so I took the opportunity to try a Yin yoga class at a nearby studio. It was phenomenal! I walked away feeling light and re-energized. I loved that the poses were held for 3-5 minutes and it gave me an opportunity to relax and focus on my breathing.

my day FOUR isn’t recorded in your list.
here it is again:
For Yoga Challenge day FOUR,
I tried this new Sadie Nardini DVD that I received from my parents on New Year. It was a challenging 75min Detox Yoga + Core Flow + 30min meditation
for day six,
I did 75min Vinyasa Flow from Yoga Download. I finished with Sadie Nardini’s Detox Yoga.
@junghwa: It’s in the comments.
Today I did 20 minutes of Sarah Ivanhoe’s Weight Loss Yoga…I can’t get enough of this series! It’s quick, easy to follow, and fun!
So fun! I’m waiting a few more weeks to decide what to buy from yogadownload. i want to try all the types and then figure out what long programs i could do!
Oh I did Sage Rountree today and really love her, especially for runners!
Like another reader here, i am also on the west coast and mainly do my yoga in the evening so i miss posting earlier in the day. I will be doing Lunar Flow before bed tonight. I downloaded 4 new classes today with my discount-thanks Tina and yogadownload
Another great 40 minute lunch time class – lots of flows and planks – great kick-off for the weekend!
I did the 20 detox yoga again today after a cardio workout at the gym. I’m happy that I’ve done three days this week.
I had a fantastic workout today! I totally screwed up my yoga as I did an hour on the trademill today. However, it was not so I had one of my better classes doing Bikram yoga today now I am starvingggg!
opps I meant that I thought I totally screwed up my yoga!
wow, i was sore in my quads from intervals last night, so I just used some yoga poses to stretch out (ones from healthy ashley posted in the past week). my left hand/wrist is a bit sore from the pressure of the core yoga… but on the plus side this has gotten me back to a regular schedule of PT for my knees!
tonight was lunar flow for me again…i don’t have much energy this time of the month :/ so i’m enjoying the relaxing qualities of these stretches :>
I came home and felt extremely upset and sad and discouraged and the last thing I wanted to do was yoga. I wish I could say I did it and it fixed everything, but I did start it, I was able to calm down at least. I didn’t finish the class though. I was doing the 30 min Sun Salutations flow #2 but the guy was too talkative and my palms hurt from yesterday and it was all I could do to keep breathing calmly. I lasted about 15 min. I’m still unhappy but at least I don’t feel like I’m going to cry anymore.
Hatha yoga before bed… yum.
i bought three downloads from yogadownload.com! the detox workout is great and much more challenging than my dvd, i’ll glad i have some material to mix up my workout.
On the 6th day of the challenge I went back to the Fierce Club in Soho and took another Core Vinyasa class. This time with the other co-owner Sadie. Great class again. It was packed. But got a great workout in. On Saturday I was so sore. Sore in my legs and around my shoulders. It felt great! I even attempted the crow pose again.
Hi ladies,
Just wanted to write and say you GO, girls! This is such an awesome challenge, and I know it ain’t easy. But it is FIERCE!
Keep it up…and kick some major asana.
