Luna Flow was excellent last night! I can actually notice my flexibility improving- I got my nose to my knee in a hamstring pose last night! It felt great!

This morning I did 20 minutes of Gentle Hatha Flow #2, which was the perfect audio class to awaken by body from sleep. To start my day off on the right foot, the class had a little bit of everything- stretching, strengthening, and balance. If you’re thinking about joining the 31 Day Yoga Challenge as a yoga newbie, I would highly recommend this session as a starting point.

coco

I haven’t tried luna flow yet, but have seen it around the blog world, so I’ll give it a try.
your oatmeal looks amazing! I love how pumpkin makes it so colorful.

brandi

oh! and I did my same routine of yoga this morning. I never got to download more yesterday with all my computer issues at work, but i’m hoping to do that today!

Mari

Yoga: I am hoping to squeeze in atleast 20 mins of Yoga tonight when I get home. I will be taking my niece (she is 5) to her yoga class so maybe I will join in HA.

Namaste…

Katerina

I am still doing the yoga, just haven’t posted in a few days. I did 30 minutes Hatha I on Saturday and 45 minutes runners yoga on Monday. And today, my bootie is sore. Hopefully a very good thing.

Jennifer

I found a better way to do the yoga sessions online- download two two minutes for free and you get a free forty! No need to use the coupon code.

Sister

Im still doing yoga and I am proud of myself for sticking with it. I need to find a new one to do though.

junghwa

i’m loving this challenge!

I did 70min of Vinyasa Flow right after I woke up. I actually did this outside on my patio with my yoga mat. it was really nice with sun-shine and everything!

Kara

My body is starting to really feel the daily yoga. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad. I had class today and it wasn’t too challenging, thankfully. A lot of grounding poses. I’m ready for a nap, though!

Beth P

I just finished my 20 minutes of yoga – Namaste balancing the energies of both sides of the body. This is probably my favorite one. The flows feel natural to me. I felt good doing this today but I sitll need to work on my concentration and being in the moment of my yoga experience so that I can really improve.

noodlegirl

I missed my yoga yesterday due to pure laziness! Today I did 20 min detox yoga then I did 20 min on my Fire yoga DVD. I always seem to shut down after I do 3 days continuous of any exercise do any of you experience that?

Sarah

Yesterday I randomly chose the Detox yoga before bed. I should probably go back and read past experiences when I choose! I really enjoyed it but some of it is just super hard still. The Downward Dog Twist!! Ouch! If I had actually done that pose for as long as they wanted me to, I’m pretty sure I would have fallen on my face. I actually felt as though the spinal twists had released toxins during this practice. As I was laying in bed, my stomach was churning a little. It was kind of odd but interesting to think about what kind of total body benefits I’m getting out of practicing yoga this month.

Katie

For my dday 10 of yoga, I did 20 minutes of Gentle Hartha #2! It was GREEEEEEEAT! I am definitely liking Gentle Hatha more than the Lunar flow….I felt so stretched out, even now, the next day! Funny thing was, I was sooo tired all day, I tried to sleep on the couch, and my mind was all over the place, so I decided to try and calm it with yoga, and it totally did the trick! I was awake, especially after the warrior poses! I’ll be doing this one again today!

brandi

yoga today: I did the Gentle Hatha #1 this morning and loved it! It was such a great way to start my day.

I have a hard time with down dog with one leg up in the air – I don’t remember the name of it.

Mari

Great Job on your “to do” list =)….Last night I did 20 minutes of Namaste Yoga which was a lot of warrior poses and I am feeling it today lol AND this morning I did 25 minutes of On the Edge Sunrise Yoga by Sara Ivanhoe; I need to work on my balance more

Namaste…

Amy

I am still keeping up with the yoga-Lunar Flow is sooo wonderful before bed. My least favorite position is half-pigeon, Jenna said it takes time to master it so i will keep at it!

Janet (Pretty Green Girl)

I nearly forgot to do Yoga last night – for the first time since this started! I got in bed super early and was watching American Idol on TiVo when I remembered. I almost didn’t do it, but didn’t want to break a promise to myself! I didn’t feel like downloading anything, so I found a yoga station on Pandora, turned out the lights (just had the glow of the computer) and did 20 min of yoga on my own. It was awesome! I could keep each pose as long as I liked and only do ones I really wanted to. It was great – sometimes I’d mentally be thinking what pose I wanted to do next but I’d find myself in a different one, just going with what my body felt like doing. I may not have held poses for the exact same amount of time on each side, but it felt really great! I did lots of favorite – rag doll, lots of sun salutations, standing splits, Warrior 2, triangle/reverse triangle, tree, dancer’s pose (a new one to me thanks to the favorite positions post the other day), shoulder stand, the one where you are seated with your heels together opening your feet like a book (what’s that called?), happy baby, etc! And some made-up chest openers. I really, really liked it. I never would have thought I’d be doing yoga on my own, unguided – but I “challenged” (hehe) myself to do it!

Poses I have trouble with: Side plank really hurts my wrists! I really want to be able to do it, and feel like I have the strength, but I’m frustrated because it’ bothers my hands/wrists!

Sarah

I’m having trouble with “chaturanga” mostly because it doesn’t feel like a pose and I don’t really feel like I’m doing yoga because it’s basically a plank! But I’ve only tried it a couple of times, so maybe it’ll grow on me

Courtney (The Hungry Yogini)

My least favorite pose is revolved triangle, but I am learning to love it!

Victoria

I don’t really care for chaturanga either, mostly because I’m super weak in my arms.

bobbi

Pigeon twists are HARD!

Sarah (lovINmytummy)

I stink at the “boat” pose. My lower back refuses to let me do it. I swear, I’m 85.

Erin

I hate lunges! But I am getting better at them and therefore, like them more! Today I did Core Yoga which has always seriously whipped my butt, but it felt great today. It was still hard, but I felt so much stronger and more balanced. I love that feeling.
The other day I did Shoulder Opening Yoga and realized how very tight my shoulders are. I knew they were bad, but I didn’t realize how bad. It wasn’t hard, but it was hard for me. It felt great in the end though. I recommend it if you get tension headaches!

sirenjess

I did not do yoga yesterday because I did the butt kicker core on Monday and my shoulders were too sore. I think I might end my day with yoga for runners.Ā Oh I hate standing splits because I have zero flexibility.

sue

i have trouble doing anything that requires me to balance on one leg- like warrior 3 but i don’t dislike any of the poses!

Kara

I have the most trouble with balancing poses, especially crow and others that really require strength and balance.

I thought about skipping yoga today because I’m ridiculously sore, but I decided to do a gentle flow. It was nice and not too much AND I’m hoping that it keeps me going for the rest of the evening!

Ashley

I did detox yoga last night. It was definitely less challenging when it was the first time and I really enjoyed the practice.

Tonight I might do a longer class because I have the time!

My least favourite pose is wheel. I need to build up my confidence with it because it’s definitely something I used to do as a kid!!!

junghwa

For day 11, Challenging 70min of Sadie Nardini’s Fire Detox.

Jessica

Crane pose = my enemy. Haha seriously though, I can’t get it yet. Maybe eventually. I did 20 min of yoga which was supposed to be working on strength and balance on FitTV.

Catherine (FOOD SNOB)

I did 20 minutes of “Stress Relief Yoga for Beginners” tonight, which was just what I needed. I’ve noticed that since this challenge started, I’m more able to focus on my breathing, especially during less challenging practices. I really had the “ocean-wooshing” thing going on tonight!

I really struggle with tree – balance is coming, but I lose my focused breath because I’m so worried about falling over! Plus, my tucked leg has a tendency to slip out unannounced. šŸ˜‰

Katie

Today, yet again, I did Gentle Hatha! Once I find something I like, I stick with it šŸ™‚ It’s just so relaxing to me, and I feel so great when I’m done!

I’m not really having much trouble with poses, it’s more with my breathing and keeping my mind clear…..I feel like I am programmed to be multi-tasking at all time, so it’s really really hard to turn that off and relax!
