Ras na hEireann 5K

This afternoon ended up being more about beer than running! I definitely did more drinking than anything else today! 8-O And, for that reason, I’m exhausted (and buzzed), so I’m going to whiz right through this evening’s post.

On the way to the race:

What stud muffins! ;-)

The start line

3.1 miles later:

Whew, finished! Here are Mal and me after finishing the race. I’m not sure about my “official” time yet– it took me a good 2 minutes to cross the start line– but I should know the results tomorrow.

After the race, we hit the bars in Davis Square to celebrate St. Patty’s Day.

Inside the Joshua Tree

Yay! Post-race brews! The Harpoon beers were free for the runners! ;-)

And then the guys discovered that the pitchers of Harpoon were free, too!

More beer!

After a few beers at the Joshua Tree, it was time to visit The Burren.

A round of Guinness

The band played Irish-inspired music.

More beer!

I was having a great time at The Burren, but after about 4-5 beers, I was not in the mood to drink anymore. It was time to head home.

As we were leaving the bar, we ran into this cutie! Russ, the pug!

So cute!!! He made my day!

It is very much time for bed! GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

What a fun day! At least if you’re going to drink all day, the best way to start it is with a run :)
