I actually took a little blog break yesterday, so I didn’t photograph anything. It feels so strange typing that! After more than a year of blogging about everything (food and non-food), it felt really weird not blogging. Even though I didn’t have my camera with me yesterday, my mind kept thinking about what to photograph– my blog brain never shut off! I wanted to share all of the fun stuff that I did yesterday! Anyway, it was a nice little break, but I happy to be blogging again. I just needed a day off.
Today’s breakfast is fuel for this morning’s Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5K. Like the Jingle Bell Run, this road race is a “fun run,” but this time, I am dressing up in green! I also recruited a whole crew of friends (and family) to run the race with me! It’s going to be so much more fun running with friends! Oh, and of course, the post-race brews will be fun, too!
Today’s oat mix:
- 1/3 cup dry oats
- 1/3 cup wheat berries
- 2/3 cup vanilla hemp milk
- Raisins
- Walnuts, chopped
- 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter
Even Mal felt a little weird not watching me take photos yesterday, so he offered to snap a photo of the Catamount Maple Wheat that we hunted down last night. A beer this amazing could not go undocumented! We called 3 or 4 places before finding it at Supreme Liquors in Central Square. (We bought the last 2 bottles!) The Grendel’s Den also has Catamount Maple Wheat, but they ran out last night!
I’m off to run, drink beers, and celebrate St. Patty’s Day! Wish me luck!

Good luck Tina!
And good for you for taking a break from the blogging!
NO WORRIES!!! This is why I could never do a “daily eats” food blog – I’d go nuts, and people would get bored since my eats are quite monotonous, haha
Haha best of luck today
HAVE FUN TODAY!!! Good luck
Maple +Beer? Oh yes, definitely! That sounds amazing.

Good for you for taking a break!! Keeping a daily log is hard and we need to take breaks in order to stay sane, I think!!
