I left my office for maybe 5 minutes this morning, and I returned to find a lovely blooming orchid on my desk. I have no idea who left it there, but it is so pretty!!!
The orchid instantly made me think of spring and greatly improved my grumpy, Monday morning-snow storm mood.
Lunch
I had a meeting during lunch, so instead of eating the lunch I had packed, I ate one of the scrumptious-looking sandwiches that were served at the meeting. I chose a Grilled Portobello Mushroom, Eggplant, Roasted Peppers, Red Onion & Gorgonzola on Focaccia sandwich. It was difficult to eat because the slippery, olive-oil coated veggies kept falling out, but it was well worth the effort!
My afternoon snacks were an orange, Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea (so good!), and a Cherry Pie Larabar.

Dinner
After work, I stayed late in Cambridge for an hour-long, very relaxing, and much-needed massage. I was so relaxed during the massage, I almost fell asleep on the massage table, and my shoulders and neck feel like a million bucks now. Seriously, why don’t I get massages more often?!
Anyway, I arrived home to dinner on the table, ready to eat. My wonderful husband cooked risotto with shrimp and asparagus mixed in.
Mal used Lundberg’s Garlic Primavera Risotto to make a fast and easy dinner for us. It was so tasty and exactly what I was craving after a long day.
Cute kitties!
I’m off to search for something sweet! Good night, guys!

Thank goodness for little kindnesses, husbands who make dinner, and massages! Would we make it through winter without these things?
Have a cozy evening.
Hooray for orchids, delish sandwiches and Larabars, cute cats, massages… fabulous!!
Those orchids are stunning! You’re a lucky girl!
Mmm, cherry pie larabar, one of the best flavors in my opinion. I would drop dead from shock if my fiance had dinner made when I came home, you’re a very lucky lady!

Don’t you know? Office cubicles are orchids’ natural habitat? Well, wouldn’t it be nice if they were. What a lovely way to remember that spring isn’t too far off.

Orchids are my favorite! That risotto looks yummy – I’ve been afraid to try and make it because I am the worst at cooking anything in the “rice family.”
