Pugs Make Me Happy

February 12, 2009

While making my oats this morning, I remembered that Dori had reminded me to change my calendar from January to February. (It’s only February 12! ;-) ) I was so happy to see this cute and cuddly pug face! Isn’t he adorable? I want one!!!

I had pumpkin oats again this morning. Today’s mix included wheat berries, walnuts, one of Heather’s muffins crumbled up and cooked into my oats, and a huge scoop of Barney Butter.

This batch was SO GOOD!

Lunch Preview

I had tons of leftovers from last night’s dinner at Border Cafe, so for lunch, I have a piece of veggie quesadilla as well as an apple, a clementine, and a lemon-flavored Luna Bar.

Question of the Day

What’s your favorite meal of the day?

Breakfast! Pugs make me happy too… I got this for my boy since he won’t let me get a real one!

Definitely breakfast… without a doubt, breakfast :) . I would eat breakfast for lunch and dinner too if I didn’t have to get in a good deal of veggies too!

Funny how 99% said breakfast. I’m going to go with “weekend breakfast” instead. The big plates, the huge portions and the being full for 6 hours afterward kind…Mmmm, yup.

I love my porridge for breakfast and look forward to it when I get up, but I would still have to go with dinner. I save most of my calories for dinner and bulk it up with lots of yummy veggies and vegetarian protein (have to love volume eating!), and it’s so nice to know that you don’t have to go anywhere and can just crash in front of the TV with a big plate of good food. Bonus points for Saturday night dinner when I don’t have to work the next day and can curl up in my PJs with a huge bowl of lentil veggie soup and homemade berry bread. (Yes, I’m an eighty year old in the body of a 24 year old! :)

Such a cute pug!!!
I love brunch with a nice spread of food! Usually I just do a quick breakfast of oatmeal, so I think that’s why brunch seems so special to me :) .

Breakfast! Even when I make something really delicious for dinner, it still doesn’t beat breakfast.

Dinner is my fave meal. Breakfast just doesn’t have the same variety as dinner, and I have waaay more time to create something awesome for dinner. Probably has something to do with me being a night owl as well!
