POMTINIS and Pizza

I really love spending a night in with my hubby! I used to be such a go-out-and-party type of gal, but now, I look forward to relaxing at home in my PJs. My, oh, my, how things have changed!

Our evening at home started with a round of cocktails. For me: a POMTINI; for him: a Miller Lite. Check out the chandelier-effect (a la Kath) in my martini!

The “bartender” didn’t follow the POMTINI recipe exactly (mostly because we didn’t have all of the ingredients), but I liked his version a whole lot! His substitutions were as follows:

  • Citrus-flavored vodka (instead of regular vodka)
  • No sour mix or simple syrup
  • Addition of soda water

For dinner, I threw together a homemade pizza on a Boboli crust. Toppings included: green pepper, onion, mozzarella, and Bove’s basil marinara (a la Vermont).

I started with two slices of pizza.

But, because those pieces were SO incredibly cheese-alicious…

I went back for a third piece, which I enjoyed with Michael Scott (from The Office).

Afternoon Snacks

Before the gym this afternoon, I snacked on two clementines. (Only 1 of 2 pictured below.)

And, during our afternoon errands, I enjoyed a Black Tea Latte made with soy milk from Starbucks. Mmmmm… it was delish! I’m totally addicted! ;-)

Ok, it’s martini and couch time for me. Enjoy your Saturday night, bloggies!

you are such a superstar with the homemade pizzas! the ‘tini looks good. I got the POM blogger box a few months ago and my husband literally drank all of them before I could snag one for a review! I had to pry the final one from his hands to use part of it in a dinner recipe!

I totally agree with you – on the staying inside. Your pizza looks yummy – and I have been hooked on the Pom teas for sometime now as well :)

@emily: Haha! When our box arrived, I told Mal to at least save one bottle for me! He LOVES POM, and could easily drink them all in a day or 2!!!
