Cleaning Frenzy

Phew. Mal and I just spent 2.5 hours cleaning our apartment from top to bottom. We washed, wipped, folded, fluffed, shined, dusted, vacuumed, organized, and recycled. Let me tell you, we did it all, but the end result was well worth it: a sparkling-clean home.

While Mal and I are generally laid-back people, we both have a streak of “neurosis” when it comes to cleaning and organization. We can stand a few things being out of place, but only for so long. Eventually, the mess and clutter get to us, and we go on a major cleaning spree, which is what happened this morning.

Mr. Mal is waiting (im)patiently for me to finish blogging, so we can finish our errands, so I’m going to speed right through lunch and breakfast. (I, too, want to get going on our to-do list, so we can relax tonight and tomorrow.)

Lunch

Lunch was a salad with grape tomatoes, snap peas, red onion, and pumpkin seeds, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. On the side, I had a some pretzels…

and a peanut butter-chocolate 7-layer bar that our friend Dave baked. It was divine! (Dave, please make us another batch!)

Breakfast

Breakfast was a 2-egg broccoli and cheese scramble with a slice of toast with carrot cake jam spread on top.

Con cafe…

First stop on our to-do list: Starbucks! I’m planning to get a Black Tea Latte. Yum!!

Happy Saturday, folks!

I have to have things cleaned/organized all the time – little things out of place are okay but once I get the cleaning bug (which happens quite a bit), I’m a cleaning maniac!!

Good luck with your to do list!

Have fun at Starbucks! I’m kind of the same way – I can let things get slightly messy but only for a little bit and then I go nuts and clean EVERYTHING.

I am the same way about cleaning! I always feel so much better when the house is clean. Vacuuming is one of my favorite things to do b/c I can’t stand seeing dirt/crumbs on the floor. Ahh, gotta love OCD!
